Montrose1100
If anyone can help me identify a bug... It had the same body and head as the pelecinid wasp, minus the large wings (it flies), and long stinger. It has two pedals on its back that constantly tick. The antennas tick too. I've seen one every so often and saw one today. The Texas Insect and Bug Identifier website wasn't any help. This is the wasp that it looks similar too.

The Pragmatist
Would it be any of the bugs shown on here? http://www.pbase.com/crocodile/wasps&page=all Edited June 1, 2015 by The Pragmatist
Montrose1100
Would it be any of the bugs shown on here?http://www.pbase.com/crocodile/wasps&page=allIt looks pretty close to the one with no details minus the baboon butt.I'm starting to think they may be adolescents of some wasp/mud diver variety but it didn't look like it had a stinger. It was quick. And I'd prefer not to stick my hand/phone too close.

mkultra25
Is this it? We get these all the time during the spring and summer months, but I have no idea what they are. AFAIK they don't sting and aren't aggressive at all.

august948
Some kind of mayfly.I don't think it's a mayfly. It looks like an ensign wasp.http://bugguide.net/images/cache/5ZL/L6Z/5ZLL6ZRLAZXHZRNHRRPHHRPHYHEH1ZMLRREHJH6HRRXLVZQLDHZLVHEHNZZL5ZQLBHIH4ZSLEZ5H8Z0L6ZRLVHRL8ZSL.jpg
