I've seen construction around this building for months and just came across the entrance and this wall art today. Couldn't find anything about it but I think I remember seeing something on it before.

I toured this place a few years ago.  The wall art has definitely been there.  I don’t remember the entrance looking this good but I may have just missed it.

New Keystone Building To Be 'Medical Center'

Detailed plans for a Houston “medical center,” to be located in the 10 story Keystone building, now under construction at Texas avenue and San Jacinto street, were announced this week by Dr. C.C. Cody, president of the Harris County Medical society.

Closing arrangements for use of the Keystone structure came as a result of cessation of negations for the construction of a special building to house the medical profession.

Of the 180 offices which the Keystone building will contain, 120 already have been leased to members of the medical profession or allied concerns, according to Dr. Cody. He expressed the beliefs that more than 150 will e occupied by the profession when the building is opened early in January and that within a reasonable period the entire structure will be taken over.

Roof Clubhouse.

Plans for construction of a five-room clubhouse for members of the medical society on the roof of the structure thus increasing its status as a center of the profession, are well under way, according to Dr. Cody, and are to be passed upon at the next meeting of the organization late in September.

The room has already been reinforced with this end in view, it is understood.

Although, the majority of the offices will be occupied by dentists, physicians and surgeons themselves, practically ever allied profession, trade and institution will be represented, according to the announcement.

Surgery supply houses, dental laboratories, drug-stores, X-ray laboratories, chemical laboratories, all will be located in the building or will have representatives there.
