Borden's At 2020 Texas St.

This location has been mentioned in some posts about the Borden plant at Louisiana/Pierce. I ran across a few pictures and thought that it deserved it's own post. This one was located east of 59 on or around Texas avenue and was demolished around the mid-90's.

It's hard to tell the scale but the larger milk bottles are around three feet long and the letters are 5+ feet tall.

Ditto on the signage and details - those cast concrete/terracotta pieces are fantastic. The old Coca Cola Bottling plant that was recently torn down had several of those (with coke bottles).

Isn't this Lofts at the Ballpark now?

The address of the plant was 2020 Texas Avenue.  I remember because my father worked there from the early 1950's until his retirment in the late 80's I believe.  After he started, he was drafted to the Korean War, then continued working there after serving in the Army.

Thanks for the picture!
