I don't get it. Why can't they just do the kind of thing they are doing for Denver. Look at that one. Very nice, sleek, and contemporary. This facade looks like something a post modernist would do in the early 90's.

Were you thinking of the grass field vacant block in midtown? That one confuses me - every other vacant block has a parking lot but for those two. What makes them so special?

As I recall, those two blocks were slated to be identical midrise apartments built in two phases.  I don't remember if their variance requests were approved, but nothing has moved forward on that since.  Based on the size of the footprint, I was thinking it would be one of the full blocks near Root Square.  Merely hoping/speculating, of course.  And those parking lots cannot remain profitable forever.

River Oaks & Uptown has the most cranes in the city right now.  It’s like we’re watching a small city being built. Here’s my count as of today.  Anything I missed?

(2) Aspire Post Oak

(1) Dual brand hotel on the W. Loop

(2) Gables Westcreek

(1) Hanover River Oaks

(2) Novel River Oaks

(1) Park Place Tower

(1) River Oaks Baptist

(1) The Driscoll at River Oaks

(1) The Revere at River Oaks

(2) Tradition Woodway
