westguy76
I heard a rumor of a new Rudy's barbeque coming to town (the one from Austin and surrounding areas) to the spring area specifically. Can anyone confirm this?

Can anyone confirm this? I haven't heard that but I sure hope it's true. I would even drive to Spring to eat there!

Heights2Bastrop
If it's as good as the one on 183 in Austin, it should do well in Houston. Best ribs I ever had.

pineda
I heard it will be next to Splashtown. I believe the owners of Rudy's are former Chiliheads. Edited May 18, 2007 by pineda
Triton
Yes, they are indeed building one there! I pass by it everyday. It's on the corner of I-45 and Louetta. It's next to Splashtown and Walmart. I can't wait until it opens.

Best ribs I ever had.I have been to many Rudy's from Austin to San Antonio to Albuquerque and have never been let down.. Always really good meat.. I like to order a pound or so of beef, turkey, or sausage and a couple slices of bread (that's the best way to order a sandwich there) and an ice cold beer. The only difference I ever noticed in any of their stores was the view... At this point my favorite was the fantastic view of Sandia Peak from the NW Albuquerque Rudy's patio. Maybe this one will have a good view of Splashtown..lolI will gladly drive an hour and a half from Galveston to go to Rudy's because I'm sure it will be worth it... I hope they build more...
