Bens survived the first round of construction on that sidewalk, they're doing better this time around. There is another coffee shop opening up next to Salata in GS soon. Yay, more options for those of us sick of hob food. ..lol -

it's not the fins that make it ugly, it's the stone pebble panels and the crown that make it an eyesore. keep the fins, put all glass behind them, blend in the crown, and it will be a beauty.- 690 replies

that's because Wells Fargo is in the center of the block, where Chase is in the corner of the block, with a huge plaza on the rest of the block.

my mom was the owner of the Longhorn's secretary back in the 90's. One of the reasons why they moved from 507 Louisiana to The Park Shops is because the building was all eaten up with termites, and they were afraid of it collapsing.

I grew up in Huntington Village, 1975 to 87 when i went on the road with various punk and metal bands. HV fated better than most Alief neighborhoods, as there were fewer rental properties as compared to the rest of the area. The real estate crash ob 87 didn't affect HV much. The entire Alief area went to hell between 93 and 94... Former sister in law graduated from a mostly white Elsik in 93, former brother in law graduated from a mostly black Elsik in 94.... Alief has been in a downward spiral since. Ma and Pa moved out of HV in 97

This building dominates the area because it is on the east side of the freeway. It would blend in on the west side. Now, The Post Oak. .. THAT will be the superstar west of 610, east of Post Oak. ...- 558 replies
