    Your memory was very accurate, I was reading about what is going on. UofH is a very exciting place right now.

    On SSP there is thread of completed projects in every city. Last time I saw it was the beginning of the year. Houston was posted as 44 completed buildings from 2000 to the end of 2005(not including the metro). It was quite a few more then Dallas and Atlanta. Houston's lack of recognition for new developments might be because buildings are going up all over the city like DT, Uptown, Med Center etc... Right now a highrise is going up in China Town and Memorial City for example. The new structures are not all in one or two areas. Their are a good number of midrises that are/were going up in the eastend, uptown, along Allen Pkwy etc.. that go unnoticed or unposted as well. Dallas has the Victory Project which is awesome and a couple other projects, but Houston does have twice as many projects rising. Isn't Houston's toyota center, new park, Hiltons hotel, HP, Fingers Tower, convention center exspansion etc.. all within the same 10 or 15 blocks? I guess we can give those new buildings a fancy name and it be very similar the Victory Project.

    The base of the crane is up, they were also moving dirt around today... This is an awesome structure....

    Plenty of projects are going up in Houston - There are cranes poping up all over the city, condos and townhomes are going up like crazy as well. Don't worry people, this project is a go. In my opinion DT Denver and Seattle has more residential and shopping then our DT because that only have one cenral area and also majority of our cities residential and shopping is in uptown/galleria area which is like a second DT.

    Richmond just east of Kirby across from the VW dealership, a crane went up for a project called "Alexian" It has 207 units and is street front. The billboard had a picture, it look about the size of the new "Empire".

    Between the crane for the Cosmopolitian and the west loop along post oak two cranes went up on the lot wear the apts. were torn down. Couldn't find a thread about this... What is going on?

    Does Seattle or Denver have an area like our Uptown?Galleria area. Maybe Dt in those cities are the only areas that have highrise living. Houston is a diffrent breed. In my experience people who can afford to own an unit in a highrise prefer to live other places then DT - The Galleria are or by Herman Park for example...

    They are going to copy exactly what FC Dallas did. FC Dallas is the most efficient and well run club in MLS. They have over 6500 players in their soccer club. Frisco ISD shares the stadium with FC Dallas, paid for most of it. North Dallas where majority of the suburb soccer moms and kids are, grow up playing and living with FC Dallas. I don't like it I wish the stadium could be east of DT and be work in with HISD. I can understand completely though if a deal works with Clear Lake or Ft. Bend County. In buisiness you learn to be successful, find someone who made it work the best nd copy them... Who better to copy then FC Dallas... Sorry can't spell or type tonight....

    Off subject - but I had a customer DT today. It was around 1PM, and the street level foot trafiic was impressive, people were walking on every block. Ladies were walking out of Macy's and the men clothing store (forgot name) had people walking in and out. The outside sitting eateries were busy. It was good to see.... DT is realy picking up a solid pace, there is a lot more action then many realize what is going on. I am guesing when pictures are posted of DT the pictures have to be taken on the weekend.

    Dallas and her existing and planned rail lines are impressive. I just don't understand how Dallas got funding though. How did you guys? Pass some help down here. 45 miles of light rail with 60,000 daily riders and Dallas is getting more funding. Houston 7.5 miles of light rail and 30,000+ riders and our leaders are still running around in circles about where and how rail should be placed.

    I guess ground breaking is on hold, I haven't heard any news today. I got an e-mail from a HP rep a few weeks back that today will be the day but no movement?

    From what I have heard from a couple solid sources is that it might be a joint venture with HISD. The stadium will be just east of MMP or just north of DT. HISD will use it for football games, track meets graduation ceremonies etc... So I assume our school taxes will help build this stadium and the Dynamo and the teams sponsors will cover some of the cost.

    790 AM, 110 (fox soccer) on time warner. You may have to upgrade a package to get it. Only approx. half the games are televised, either on Fox Houston, or on Fox Soccer. Maybe next season with the Dynamo success more games will be broadcasted. The Fox soccer channel is awesome. They show many English Premier League games live and reaired. It also shows other leagues and college games live. Basicly its 24hrs of games with a few call-in soccer shows mixed in.

    Driving by this block today they were tearing up the small park. Maybe they are starting to prepare this block for the fingers buiding?

    Why don't you ask our fellow brothers in Iraq if they support if they think the war is worth it? I have a dozen friends either in Iraq now or going back soon. All of them tell me we better thank god we are over their. If we had a democrat in office they would still be hiding under their bed and we havce been attacked again. Why don't we ask the girls and women about the war that have schools and running water now? How about the mass graves of 10's of thousands of people that were found or the tons of mustard gas that has been found? Seriously what do the democrats stand for or what is their "plan"? We never hear one... You got dem. candidates stating they are for abortion and a strict Catholic in the same breath. I try to ignore politcal discussions because everyone just spins their wheels but I got to rant. Democrat suppoorters can't stand on issues, they can just throw crap at the wall hoping something sticks. You already got an attorney for Nick Lampson claiming Gibbs was at polling places illegally. You got Bill White offering free flu shots only in democrat areas polling sites. Try to win an election on issues. Bottom line is this country has not been attacked since 9/11 because my fellow brothers are kicking the terrorist ass. Also our FBI and CIA are doing their job, stopping threats, because they are allowed to now unlike under Clinton they were shut down twice. How dare the piece of garbage Kerry insult me and our brothers because we are volunterring our selves in doing something we beleive strongly in our heart. Dems are the garbage who appoint judges that let child molestors off because they weren't hug enough. A strong majority of small buisness owners, military persons, college educated, strong family valued households are Republicans. A strong majority of welfare recipeints, criminals, under educated, broken households are democrats.

    The game is on the Fox Soccer Channel on Sunday, Ch.110 on Time Warner. The final goal by Ching was great. I am so excited about this game on Sun., the winner goes to the final game in Frisco next week. In the paper this morning their was a line or two about the Dynamo may have earned its owned stadium to be built, and I heard rumors from a customer today that their is talks about this going on. It wouldn't suprise me to see a stadium that can be used for MLS and HISD be built within the next five years.

    Took my wife to see the show at the alley last Friday. I thought it was brilliant, just wanted to recommend it to any one who is interested.

    This is the Herman Memorial Building going up. The cranes are telescopic, for example the crane for the new residential building on Post Oak has aready increased in height since it was put up last month. The crane on Bellaire @ the Beltway constructing the Chinese owned bank (13 stories) has increased its height as well over the past month. You wouldn't try to consruct the first floors from 500 feet above.
