  1. funny! the house I used to rent keeps popping up on here! too funny, too bad I don't still live there, I'd invite you over :> I did a drive through in the area North of the 6th ward, S I-10, E Taylor, W Houston a few months ago and took some pics. You might like those, that area if full of really neat houses just crying for renovation, but developers/townhomes are currently swarming through. I don't think there will be anyone to challenge them as the area is currently sketchy at best...
  2. Esperson is just a bunch of offices. still pretty neat, but the outer ring is all closed offices, so not much to see there unless you can get special entry onto the top...
  3. seriously? seriously. did you really type that? am I reading it wrong? i must be reading it wrong... i can't read anymore, .....i'm going to go find a St. Bernard to take Jane out on a date...
  4. every time a new post hits this topic, i get all excited thinking that someone is going to announce she is leaving and being replaced by a decent host. ah well.
  5. With Studewood FINALLY being finished, now would be the time. As for who to list it with, I don't really know. I'd find someone with an eye on retail or commercial of some sort, as living on Studewood (for me persoanlly at least) wouldn't be very nice.
  6. "It doesn't mean anything at all," Bagwell told KRIV-TV in Houston. "Everyone knew this was going to happen. It is part of the business. I'm OK with it. This is not a sad day." Seems like everyone is handling this very professionally. glad to see some know when its time to walk off proudly...
  7. I'd be SO sad if it was torn down...but I've been preparing my self. I love that building! but, it is too much of a prime location to keep sitting vacant. I figure the building must be pretty damaged, otherwise it would be lofts by now... I think I'll need to take some pics to remember it by...
  8. The flyers they are passing out downtown say it is $5.15 an hour. or $20 for a nights work.
  9. nice. and I agree about the pics...an backyard picture would be nice.
  10. I was wondering the same thing! Which makes me wonder if it is urban legend...
  11. OMG! TOO FUNNY! it kills me that several of you thought so... I am now on a mission...just have to figure out how to make a knife taste like pizza....

    Lost

interesting...I didn't think of that... I think people are making a bit too many power assumptions based off the book club comment. I think she was just hosting that particular meeting and got territorial that Ben's power was presumably everywhere. I do think the SK thing was interesting though... which clearly shows they do have a connection with the outside world... serum is also interesting. Something happened after breakfast and before the rock field though, she was clearly scared and lost her mojo, and those sores on her wrist to do explain a casual meal with handcuffs on... I also can't get off the aquarium conversation. I think there is more to it. I think that was a "global" conversation, not one limited to the room/building they are in. I don't really know why... and yes, last episode was pretty snoozy.
  13. Hey, if someone wants to be stupid enough to buy air, more power to 'em!
  14. Yup. a bunch of us watched a moron in a pickup truck drive right into 4 ft of water at Studewood, and then calmly get out and wait for the wrecker to come get it out. it looked suspicios, but maybe people really are that dumb? We watched as a second car came right up to the edge, got on the curb, nudged forward, and then though better of it, FINALLY!
  15. Great pics, thanks! I was wondering about the flooding up there, but I skipped it to go north on Taylor...only to be foiled by the stupid train blocking every street but Studement, which was flooded! I hear the train backed up about 5:30 though...but not before causing a parking lot on Washington!
  16. Yes, it is purple. It really makes some of the color in the granite pop. There isn't much wall space in the kitchen, so it doesn't make it dark. prev owner also did all the painting...I really lucked out. Part of the problem with that exterior is the maroon trim, it perfectly matches my maroon car, which perfectly matches my Aggie sticker!!! I look like a phsyco aggie! and Thanks groovehouse, That island range really has opened a new world, I don't always have my back to the world when I'm cooking something. During parties, it is always surrounded by people just chatting...
  17. Its been taken. can someone delete this?
  18. thanks. I'm thinking a sagey or yellowish color for a repaint though. this is in the woodland heights area, but not proper, a later addition...
  19. Please take my TV cabinet It is an oakyish cabinet, up for TV down for components. all you need to do is haul it away. this is not wood, but particle board and veneer....one side was torn off by a 2 year old and had to be screwed back on the outside...but hey! its free!!!!
  20. woops, sorry about that! I noticed you said you were interested in the weird stuff about the heights...friday I found a house sitting one story high on 5th street...I think I'll take a pic and post about it here...it was very odd!!!
