  1. You've again been called out. "Go ahead son.. skin that smoke wagon.."
  2. CRIPPLE FIGHT!!! Oh wait - nevermind.. Mods, I think one has to go. This is getting confusing.
  3. That's your problem - you're going to a buffet. The Chinese buffet is for Americans who easily accept bland taste. Go to an "off-the-menu" style Chinese/Vietnamese restuarant and see the difference.
  4. I'd have to say Cajun, Tex-Mex, American, Italian, and the Viet/Chinese. Tried the follow and didn't work out: Indian, Japanese, Thai, Carribean, South American, and French.
  5. That's it - LTAWACS has finally be called out by the REAL AWACS. Lets hear some answers Mr. Left-Wing.
  6. NO!! Move it to way off topic so we can endlessly rant on about it!
  7. What experts? I know that FM1960 from SH249 to around I-45 is a pretty nice area. Its a little unorganized for my taste, but nice none the less.
  8. Considering that you can't find these stores anywhere else except Baybrook, Willowbrook, First Colony, or the Galleria here in Houston - I would consider them upper-end stores. There is a difference between upper-end & boutique.
  9. Watch out San Antonio - the Woodlands is jockeying for position.
  10. It's "french-fried tators" you twit. If you're going to quote Slingblade - then get it right!
  11. I'll be sure to flame these posts..
  12. Z Gallerie, White House - Black Market, Brookstone, MAC, Coach, Sharper Image, Limited, Guess, & even A&F, just to name a few.
  13. You need to check out the west wing of Memorial City Mall. The only place you'll find more designer names is the Galleria. If that's not upper end, then please educate me. Also, if it weren't for Bailey Banks & Biddle, Pottery Barn, William Sonoma, Neiman Marcus, Town & Country would be a typical strip mall with its other stores like Linens-N-things, Barns-n-Nobles, GAP, Einstien's Bagels, Baby GAP, and Starbucks.
  14. I grew up in a baptist church, in a very religious community. Mostly Penacostals, Baptists, and Catholic. We had a token Luthern & Methodist church too. Where I grew up (Louisiana) there we no quams with pastors & priests pointing out what is wrong in their view. Its nothing like here where all anyone preaches about are happy feelings. Maybe my upbringing is why I'm so jaded towards religon, Christianity in particular.
  15. I'm tired of people who whine about their feelings getting hurt. That's what I mean by being sick of sensitive people. It gets old hearing people all day long at work, on the news, and in public wanting to blame anyone but themselves for anything wrong in life. There's no responsibility left in the world. Somehow in one generation we lost it. Stupid children of the "baby-boomer" generation.. Oh, and I call people "sheeple" because like sheep, people today just follow the herd, and when the wolf comes along they just wait to be eaten - metaphorically speaking. My statement really had nothing to do with church.
  16. What do you do when they do the annual :attempting to spell homosexual as most religious types say it: "homma-sex-ules" sermon?
  17. He's not going to tell you because like me, you've called him on all his "inner-loop" b.s.. I like his plan though - basically everyone should live in the inner-loop, but to do so, they shouldn't have kids. Brilliant.. EDIT - shouldn't have kids.. shouldn't - not should..
  18. What looks out of place is a Target at an "upper-end" shopping mall. I would expect this at West Oaks or Sharpstown or Almeda, but not Memorial City.
  19. Sensative people make me sick. I agree with the sentiment about small churches. I grew up in a small church and always felt like there was more oversight. I went to the Easter service Lakewood held at Minute Maid park at my wife's request this year. Eerie is how I would describe it. Thousands of sheeple there that day.. Thousands of non-decision makers.
  20. There are quite a few "mega" churches here in Houston. Lakewood First Baptist Second Baptist #1 Second Baptist #2 Grace There are more, but I'm not that religious so I don't really keep up with them. Here lately, I've been too busy keeping my eye on another kind of "church" thats been popping up more and more.
