  1. It was bought by a Conroe based company. They are still not sure what they are going to do with the land. I just hope they don't do a Conroe development i.e. big national brand chains in strip malls. Here's the article
  2. $1.00 still a deal As long as I lived in Houston I have never been to the San Jac park yeah I know I ought to be ashamed.
  3. Yeah, I would rather see him in office than W. but after his brother I'm sure people would want to take a Bush break.
  4. Okay now I want to check this out >
  5. Sounds bad does any body have any pics. I almost hate strip malls as much as surface lots
  6. Yeah I was watching the documentary on the tele about all the inaccuracies of the book. I'm not sure I think it might of been a BBC or Discovery Doc. They talk to historians and look into where Brown got his ideas from by visiting the places mentioned in the book and how he took a lot out of context. What's funny is how I run into a lot of people who get their history from movies or fictional books. "Well, that's what the movie said" Yeah so it has to be true I'm just not feeling the hype so I'll sit this one out. Save my money for X-Men III, Superman, or Pirates of the Caribean
  7. It wasn't on this rendering that was originally posted. As for the Stros game I meant if you have some time to kill it's only a short walk away.
  8. I was able to vote today. It said this is the last week, so if you havent yet, get the word out
  9. I'm out of town and would of liked to be there. As for the dog area I didnt see it on the map but saw it later listed as an amenity. I think overall this will be a cool place to hang out, while waiting for a 'Stros game, or for visitors at a convention, or guest at the hotels.
  10. I see they did away with the dog area and the stream and a couple other things. It doesn't look as cramed just like some people on this forum wanted. I like it
  11. According to the downtown web site it's on the 58th floor
  12. Do they look perminent or something temporary maybe for an event? Maybe the city has read about people on this forum complaining about better lighting for the skyline and they're doing something about it
  13. Yeah it is, I wish I could get a closer look and see what the final design is.....oh well guess I have to wait until later today (9 May)
  14. The official grand public unvailing is suppose to be on 9 May. Media might of got a sneak peak. I like that the pond area looks bigger than originally planned
  15. I was going through a downtown website and found that Wells Fargo has a observation deck Has anyone been there?
  16. Article:Bus bike racks could be placed on the fast track Houston cyclists may be able to take bikes along for the ride on Metro buses sooner than they had expected.
  17. yeah me too. Maybe the cities and places on the board are already predetermined by the game company. This could just be a promo to get people interested with no intention for the people to decide.
  18. You sold me....hey they have a roller coaster too......we can have it going in and out stores and garages....it can pick you up at your car and drop you off at the ice rink
  19. This still looks nice Especially for this up and coming area.
  20. Hey, Htown annexed Kingwood(portions in Montgomery county) why not the Woodlands. The more the merrier
  21. Good points-I just think it's a bit early to tell. I'm sure it's covered somewhere in this thread, when is the commitee suppose to decide on US cities?
  22. In Kuwait.....We had a eight day lay over(one of the few things to do as we hurried up and waited for our plane). I went bankrupt
