  2. btw, went to see Captain America last night at the awesome iPic and upon driving up to the development i noticed that Taverna is now uncovered and you can see that they are all ready to open in the next week or 2 it looks like! and just saw this article about Steak 48 and how its getting ready to open next month with the chef announced! http://houston.eater.com/2016/5/20/11719234/river-oaks-steak-48-announces-executive-chef-prepares-to-open
  3. that would be awesome but im talking about where in the heck are they putting 10,000 sq ft of actual store space unless you are saying they will take that existing seated space and make that store, then extend outdoor seating towards westheimer...then even better question are they going to smartly build a parking garage somehow, someway? maybe above the store haha!?
  4. yeah its definitely a mystery how they will expand but im all for it...and i hope it gets more of that Austin Whole Foods 6th street vibe...i do love coming here on the weekends for the music and the burgers btw...so yep, yay central market !
  5. yeah this is crazy!!! cant imagine this place being any bigger but wowsa!!! i cant wait as i go here fairly often!
  6. another phase with a new target maybe but dont you dare take away my target! i love having one so close to my house...i can afford Target!!!
  7. is it phase II that is being built between phase I and the hotel derek? does anyone know when they will be closing/knocking down the convenience store and sullivans etc? is there a time frame announced?
  8. well it didnt survive the houston galleria but maybe it would survive ROD... http://houston.culturemap.com/news/fashion/10-04-10-barneys-co-op-will-close-galleria-store-in-january/ i just liked their cool window displays at the galleria
  9. most of the ground level facing westheimer seems to be restaurant space...i know the west part is 2 restaurants plus one of those having a coffee shop (so 3 total on that side if you count it that way...) then 1 on the right side...and my guess is the rest will indeed be retail. (there may be room for 2 to 4 more places depending on the size)
  10. new article and photos of 51fifteen opening in just 2 short weeks! 04/28/16 http://houston.eater.com/2016/4/13/11420702/51fifteen-plywood-gallery#6425233
  11. wow dont know that anyone posted this yet, but these photos of the raven tower are incredible....such a cool place with amazing views! http://houston.eater.com/2016/4/12/11400984/step-inside-raven-tower-white-oak-music-hall-s-brand-new-watering-hole#6417841
  12. its always fairly busy as its located within a hotel and just off main street so it gets a fair amount of traffic...also when my best friend headlined a show at house of blues a couple of months ago, we walked over there after soundcheck and there was a line about 10 people long...so it's doing pretty well apparently!
  13. thats a great idea...some sort of marquee or jumbotron type sign that shows upcoming events (similar to the one at Toyota Center)...that would be great for both the convention center and discovery green!
  14. its actually a pretty cool building and have been checking in on its progress lately as well! i hope they have some good secular shows on the calendar so i can go check it out!
  15. I have always been fascinated by the cool limestone building on Montrose near Westheimer....and now Brookstreet Bar-B-Que is adding a drive thru and patio to make it there 5th location in Houston! From the looks of it, they are now planning a May or June opening! http://houston.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/11-30-15-popular-barbecue-restaurant-coming-to-gorgeous-stone-house-in-montrose/#slide=0
