This is a beautiful building, but I question the location. Seems like this would be better suited as part of ROD Phase II. Or an extension of BLVD Place. Riskier move IMO to be that far south.

I think it has to do alot with the redevelopment and transformation of Post Oak Blvd which runs from Richmond to 610 so this is the beginning (or the end) of the new "grand blvd"...so it makes sense to me! In the long run it will help make this whole project cohesive.

  2. Long ago, the owners of Hotel San Jose Hotel and Hotel Saint Cecelia both in Austin were in talks to buy the land that is now where the Montrose Cane's (chicken) is...I was bummed when they decided to pass when the economy took a downturn...

they would be the perfect fit in Montrose but yeah cannot wait to see this be redeveloped!

  3. Since I ride my bike through here daily I have been watching the progress...the re-facing/painting (white) of the entire development is almost complete...I am thinking by the end of next month they will be done completely with all exterior renovations and enhancements...now if we could only get some more great tenants...Post Oak Blvd is coming along and really will be amazing in my opinion so I am hoping that draws more and more quality businesses our way!

That is my life for the past 22 years in this photograph! I see my 2 different apartment complexes I have rented and the condo i now own (all on McCue) and my office (once on Post Oak and now on Chevy Chase/Sage) ...I wonder what this photo would have looked like 22 years ago! ALOT different that is for sure!
