  1. This development will be great, but I hope the developers work with the city to better the traffic along that stretch. It is very hard to pull onto Westview if you are heading East on Westhiemer. But all in this is good news.
  2. I hate rates too with a passion. I could not even get through this article. I saw one about a week ago run across the power line in front of my house. I was terrified. There was a fear factor where they submerged a person in a box full of rats and I lost it. There is no way I would do that. Maybe for a million but these people are playing for way less than that. Rats SUCK
  3. It does not work anymore. How is a person expected to the get the time if he does not own a clock, computer, cell phone, beeper or watch. All 6 of them.
  4. My parents owned a house in Breckenridge, Colorado until 1994 and way back in the early 80's I remember only having to dial the 4 numbers. Every phone is the city had the prefix 453. As the town grew I assume this all changed. I just remember dialing the four digits. Interesting.
  5. Chili Cheese dogs are one of my favorite foods. That pic looks gross. How could that picture make into their advertisements. Gross.
  6. Red Lion is a great Pub. The food is allright, but they have Stella Artois on tap (my favorite beer of all time) and you can not get this beer many places in Houston (even Spec's does not carry it).
  7. 100% Taquito. Ate there for dinner last night. Spectacular. I love the taco's there.
  8. I have never worked in the CBD so I have not spent alot of time in the tunnels. Is there a lot of space available? I would think that $1400 is pretty high for the amount of space you were needind (500 sf?)
  9. Its cool - . The guys at Romanos can be pretty rude too. I am cool with it since most of the time it is actually entertaining. I once oredered a pizza with light sauce. When I picked it up I noticed it was swimming in sauce. I told the guy I ordered light sauce, he argued and said I asked for heavy sauce. We bickered for awhile until his partner came out and screamed at him to make me a new pizza. The guy winked at me and they ended up giving me the pizza for free. That is only time they have messed up an order an I eat there 1-2 times a week.
  10. Sometimes I do not want to leave the house. Call me lazy all you want, but that is why restuarants deliver. I do not call them anymore. The service there sucks and I do not have to deal with it when I can drive an extra 5 minutes and get Romanos. As for the 20 minutes comment, I think I mentioned my issues with their service. 20 minutes is usually the time it takes them to put it in the oven. I am happy you had good service (and I mentioned this in my earlier post)
  11. I like Cafe Adobe. I also think Pappasito's and Lupe Tortilla's have kickin Fajitas. I should not have read this post right before lunch. I now need some Taco's.
  12. Anyone have a picture of this building. I am having a hard time visualizing it.
  13. Hunter Wrote: "Personally I like the little accident on the freeway on the lower right hand side. Thart shows me that the atist really knew Houston well when he built this model. " That is hysterical. I nice little smash up on the freeway.
  14. I was just thinking about adding Collina's and Kinneally's but you beat me to the punch. You have similar taste to mine. I love Romano's as well. Someone mentioned Ponzo's and I have to argue that point. While the pizza is pretty good (albeit extremely greasy) the service is horrible. I live 5 minutes away and I have only once gotten my pizza delivered within 45 minutes and most of the time it takes right at an hour. I live 5 minutes away. How is that the case. I have also dined in many times and the wait has been super long. I went in a few weeks ago and sat and watched the people. There were maybe 3 other people in the store and they still took 22 minutes (I timed them) to put my two cheese slices into the oven. By the time I finally got my two slices 30 minutes had passed and I was fuming. In that same time they took no other orders. So it was not like they were busy with delivery pizza's. The guy running the show is so lazy it drives me crazy. Sorry for the rant --I am sure someone else will come back with a statement that their service is the best in town. If so I have never seen it.
  15. YES it is super, but it has no grocery store so it is not really a Super Target. BTW, it ROCKS.
  16. There was a Sage on Westhiemer and Stoney Brook. It is now a Guitar Center. I think it was a pharmacy, but I might be wrong. I remember the toy section well.
  17. I have found a new love for Spaghetti and Meatballs. Is that place any good. I have found that Carrabas, Romanos, and Paulies have the best S&MB's in town. But a place called Spaghetti Wharehouse has to have some good eatin ?? Just wondering.
  18. This is not really on topic, but what about the Blimp Hangar out on I-45. I remember when we used to drive to Ftl Worth to seem my Grandparents we would pass by the Hangar and sometimes the blimp was out there. I have no clue where this was or what is there now.
  19. Great Memory. I remember eating at the Patch and Circus. The best part of the Strawberry Patch was the muffins.
