  1. So if the market was building 18,000 units a year and absorbing 24,000, what does that do to supply and demand?
  2. Shh...I thought no one was supposed to know about the Burj yet...
  3. Are you referring to this not-under-construction project or a second undisclosed one on the other side of the freeway?
  4. One-time city councilman from back in the '70s. I had no idea he was still alive. Must be his estate.
  5. I think it's been half-repainted. Maybe the whole thing needs to be stained a nice cherry color, then they could put some huge swinging glass doors on the front of it, and we can put all our Royal Doulton knick-knacks on display there. That way, they won't have to decorate the outside of Randall Davis' buildings.
  6. This town's developing a reputation for shortage of everything. Today's HBJ stated that 75,000 jobs a year are going to be created for people with high school diplomas who are not planning to get a college degree. That's a lot of demand...
  7. Second question is why 4,600 new homes will happen north of Willis, TX, and this won't.
  8. If WF is like WF always is, it's way overpriced and TJ can sneak in underneath them.
  9. That's an interesting little community car garden on the roof.
  10. http://www.bizjournals.com/houston/morning_call/2014/11/houston-international-school-to-develop-new-campus.html Houston international school to develop new campus near Katy No renderings, but a 275,000 sf building, so not a small campus.
  11. No apology needed; you're doing fine, man, er, ma'am, er whatever...
  12. Swamplot says the sign's down after having gone up. Apparently the placement is being modified to make the sign less of an issue.
  13. Hines was announcing an office tower in far north Dallas today, so that may divert their attention a little bit. 23 stories. Not 609 Main, but nice.
  14. All we have to do is figure out what to do about the Days Inn hulk.
  15. $2.80 a square foot? Houston will be more expensive than DC.
  16. They don't need their staff hanging around a jobsite where nothing is going to happen. Chevron's not the only game in town.
  17. Cash flow issues do not gibe with workers onsite. I'd figure they would be the first to go.
