  1. I hope they build a half dozen of them over there. Sadly, I think they're mostly going to be 5-7 stories.
  2. They need to up their game - a charging station with a Tesla S hooked to it.
  3. Those kids from HSPVA are going to have any number of reasons to play hooky - the Green, the Marriott, the Hilton, the Convention Center, the ballpark, the Nau. To say nothing of SuperBowl Week. It's going to be tough keeping them indoors on a nice Spring day.
  4. I think it's been half-repainted. Maybe the whole thing needs to be stained a nice cherry color, then they could put some huge swinging glass doors on the front of it, and we can put all our Royal Doulton knick-knacks on display there. That way, they won't have to decorate the outside of Randall Davis' buildings.
  5. That's an interesting little community car garden on the roof.
  6. No apology needed; you're doing fine, man, er, ma'am, er whatever...
  7. Swamplot says the sign's down after having gone up. Apparently the placement is being modified to make the sign less of an issue.
  8. Hines was announcing an office tower in far north Dallas today, so that may divert their attention a little bit. 23 stories. Not 609 Main, but nice.
  9. All we have to do is figure out what to do about the Days Inn hulk.
  10. $2.80 a square foot? Houston will be more expensive than DC.
  11. They don't need their staff hanging around a jobsite where nothing is going to happen. Chevron's not the only game in town.
  12. Fort Worth actually has a very nice three-screen drive-in complex situated just north of Downtown and south of the Cats' ballpark. That actually could work one one of those vacant Northside or East End lots.
  13. I don't think Skanska's going to hang around if nothing's going to happen for years. They have their own Downtown skyscraper to worry about.
  14. Disappointing. More overruns on the Australian gas plant? Or another excuse?
  15. Virgin Megastore is overhyped. In this day and age when MP3's can be purchased from a computer and Kindles are everywhere, a gigantic movie, record and book store is rapidly becoming obsolete. Better to have Virgin Atlantic or Virgin America touching down at Intercontinental.
  16. Not anymore. They moved to the Woodlands about a year ago.
