I've seen a lot of old ugly dead trees still standing while large beautiful trees uprooted. What's up with that? Is it because the dead trees have no leaves for the wind to catch? No "sails" so to speak?

My cocoon hatched. It was a spider. I swept it down and flushed it.

Power was restored Sunday and it felt so good! I feel for those whose power is still out. It's nothing compared to what others are going through, but it's tough. Closest I've ever been to camping. That reminds me, I have a cocoon of some sort growing on my bedroom ceiling and I'm scared of it. It has something inside of it. I'm getting chills just thinking about it. I think it's there because the windows had been open almost constantly for over a week. One thing that made me uncomfortable was not having a working alarm.

I have a lot of catching up to do. Anyone still not have power? I'm in Katy right now. They got theirs back within hours after the storm. I feel so out of touch with the outside world!

Enlighten me about the bear.

Geraldo said a fourth of the Balinese Room is already gone!

What is with the bear? Did I miss something?

It's nice outside. I think I'll go to Galveston.

I was thinking, they need to make a big budget disaster movie about a massive hurricane in the gulf and title it "Cone of Uncertainty". Why hasn't it been done before? Everyone hunker down and stay safe! I hate hurricane chaos.

2008 Apple iPods
KimberlySayWhat replied to Pumapayam's topic in Computers, Technology and the Internet
Pretty! But why did they make the Nano bigger? I like them as tiny as possible. -
Same things are happening to all the networks. TV Land for example is now owned by Viacom so it's starting to resemble MTV and VH1. The classics are becoming obsolete on that network. They even admitted that they're eventually going to phase them out in favor of newer shows and reality programs. It's abandoning the shows and viewers that made it popular. That's probably what's happening to ESPN. Cry for a while and then suck it up because it's not going to change.

I'm still waiting for Elvis to hold his comeback press conference. That would be the coolest and biggest thing to ever happen!

I love '70s music, but not so much funk. -

Astrodome To Be Turned Into A Movie Studio
KimberlySayWhat replied to Subdude's topic in Texas Medical Center
There's already a website up, but all it says right now is "coming soon". They have a logo and everything, though. http://www.astrodomeproductionstudios.com I want to see this happen, but for some reason I can't. I expect 20 years from how we'll still be talking about what to do with the dome, if it's not a parking not by then. I hate being pessimistic. It has a MySpace, too: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...endID=203362342 -
I've never seen the video, but I have that song on my iPod. The cover is kind of scary looking. Edit: That chicken looks nasty. She looks like blasted doll that's posted on the top of this page.

Something else I like to put on my iPod are old radio shows. They're all free and there's a nice variety ranging from the '30s through the '80s. I especially love the mystery/thriller genre (CBS Radio Mystery Theater is the best!) No iPod required. Check it out! http://www.oldtimeradiofans.com -

Astrodome To Be Turned Into A Movie Studio
KimberlySayWhat replied to Subdude's topic in Texas Medical Center
It was only one woman's proposal. The story was on channel 11 a couple of weeks ago and it's discussed in the Astrodome thread here. The dome's future is still up in the air. I like the studio idea. Usually things I would like to see don't happen. I'm sure ultimately it'll be a gool 'ol, grand ol' Texas theme hotel. Wee haa! Let's watch some football.
