  1. I think this goes for the Ritz-Carlton as well.
  2. Has Starwood issued a press release regarding the W Houston yet?
  3. Mister X, I promise there's medication you can take for that problem. You seriouslyneed counseling (as will be evident by your response to this post). I've never seen anyone else get as fired up and as angry as you over words on a screen. The Victory Park Mardis Gras was pretty good for a first time around. Having lived in New Orleans for three years (Pre-Katrina) I know what the real thing looks like, and this one parade by no means is worthy of comparison. However, Mystiqal is further evidence that Victory Park is continuously being programmed for activities that draw crowds for events other than Stars or Mavericks games, and the rich. . .a sentiment expressed all too often on HAIF by people who don't know any better and/or whose sole purpose is to diminish what Victory Park is on its way to becoming.
  4. What. . .are you kidding me? Houston will looooooooose (get it this time?) anothersports franchise before the Texans will ever make it to a Super Bowl. I could be wrong though. Mario Williams may be able to single-handedly sack them into the championship game.
  5. Stop acting like crybabies. This thread was originally started by some poster named "ProHouston" about the Cowboys and that so-called football team in Houston, and received posts from the "usual suspects" including two out of the last three posters before I ever got involved. Comments were made about both teams, and the thread turned into a trash talikng match, similar to those trash talking matches many engage in, about their favorite sports teams. BUT, some of you forgot that in order to talk trash (and not appear foolish), you have to have something to talk trash about, yourself. I just reminded everyone here of that fact. . .the fans of Houston's so-called fotball team don't have room to talk trash about most other NFL teams, much less America's Team. . .The Dallas Cowboys! There's no comparison from a historic standpoint (8 superbowl appearances, 5 superbowl championships). Houston's team can't touch the Cowboys from 2007 Season (NFC East Champs vs happy to be 8-8). So, don't get mad and hurl insults. You can call me any name in the book, and it still won't change the fact that the Houston Texans are LOOSERS. Remember that next time you want to get into a trash talking contest, or somebody might state something (again) that'll just end up hurting your feelings (again). It shouldn't be that serious anyway.
  6. I don't log in for a few days, and look what I come back to find. . .continued trash talking by a group who supports a team who are by definition LOOSERS (total win vs. loss ratio). I guess what they say is true. Houston's so-called football team isn't worth talking about. . .even around here. In oder to talk meaningful football, the folks in Houston have to talk about America's Team. Alas, in Dallas, we're used to it. When you're popular and envied, "haters" are just part of life. Well, I guess the more haters the better. I hope Houston, gets a football team worthy of discussion form its citizens. Until then, I will accept and appreciate all of the (negative) energy Houstonians put forth towards hating the Dallas Cowboys. Thank you Houston Haters. . . Thank You!!! [takes a bow]
  7. Exactly. It's probably better NOT to plan rail around a stadium for a team that may or may not be here in 10, 15, 20 years!
  8. Anybody want to guess who the most popular NFL team is (as well as responsible for selling the most merchandise/memorabelia)? . . I'll give you a hint. . .It ain't either of the ones from Houston! http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post/Da...t?urn=nfl,47568 Keep em coming!
  9. Dallas Cowboys: Terrell Owens DeMarcus Ware Jason Witten Flozelle Adams Leonard Davis Houston: Mario Williams DeMeco Ryans Yeah, you sure showed me something! . . .Thanks for helping me out. Trae, as I stated to you before, in another thread. . .just be proud of HOSTING championships, I'll be proud of a tradition of WINNING Championships. Red, these guys need some help. Keep em coming. Good one. That's the best one, so far.
  10. Did you know that the Dallas Cowboys hold the record for superbowl appearances at 8? That's 8 more than the Houston Oilers, and the Houston Texans combined. Did you know that the Dallas Cowboys share the record, with Pittsburg and San Francisco, for superbowl victories at 5? That's 5 more than the Houston Oilers, and the Houston Texans combined. Keep em coming. I've got more stats for you.
  11. Dallas Cowboys send NFL Record 12 players to the Pro Bowl! Houston Texans send 1. I can do this all day. Keep em coming!
  12. The following is taken from this thread. Guess what? . . .Texans fans still sound stupid trying to compare any one of their football teams to America's Team. Pass the memo along.
  13. Yeah, and did you read the two comments? Not Good, at all;
  14. Too bad for the Cowboys. I can't say that I am surprised by the result, though. They played like the Texans yesterday, and just like the Texans, they'll have to watch the rest of the playoffs at home. The only difference is that the Texans never made the playoffs. BTW: New Rule: Before you can make fun of a playoff team for loosing, you have to be from a town that has fielded a playoff team within the last ten years! That pretty much disqualifies everyone in this thread.
  15. According to whom? Please tell me you have a source (study) other than yourself.
  16. Thanks. I think I found it. http://www.texmedctr.tmc.edu/NR/rdonlyres/...kMasterPlan.pdf
  17. This is interesting. Do you have a source for this plan I can reference, and an expected completion date?
  18. Yeah, that sentiment will work in a slogan for the City. I can see it now. "Houston. . .We're Great, But if You Don't Think So, Kiss Our Ass!"
  19. I think this is a falicy. With the 1st elected black district attorney in Texas, the 1st openly lesbian Sheriff elected in Texas, openly gay elected council member who was in a runoff in the most recent mayoral election, and the largest voter-approved rail system in Texas, I'd say that Dallas is probably the most "progressive or liberal" city in the state. Austin just gets the most pub from liberals outside the state who don't know any better.
  20. Assuming that's true, if they're not going to the playoffs, what does it matter? Oh, let me guess. . . "it gives fans hope for next year?" Yeah, She was there last night. I, personally, dont buy into the whole Jessica Simpson Jinx thing created by the media. On another note, I hope Green Bay loses today so that we'll have home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
