    Crane coming down. They don't appear to be done lifting things to the roof though.

    My apartment sent out a memo that a "big crane" was going to be here over the weekend. I'm not sure what it would be for.

    If this was complete and had a light ring on the top, I could share this same angle and half of reddit wouldn't even realize it wasn't actually in downtown. At least with my potato camera any way.

    hindesky beat me to it, but I took some pics on Sunday. You can see some of the white beams have gone up on the south side. After coming home today I noticed some are now on the west side as well. Additionally, some more concrete forms have gone up. Most appear to be for the canopy posts, but I do not know what the larger one near the orange container is for.

    This inspired me to go to the roof and look. My phone can never quite capture the view, and it looks like even night mode cant save it. I am shamefully sharing them anyway. I really should just buy a beginner camera and take some intro classes.

    Question for those with more understanding than me: My understanding is the Record of Decision and EIS should contain all the designs or design alternatives chosen correct? Is this TxDOTs final decision, or will there still be changes since their is still opposition?

    I unfortunately was that person. Like within two weeks of moving here I tried turning left from the middle lane when I wasn't supposed to. I realized my mistake fairly quickly and the lady driving directly at me made sure I wouldn't forget my error.

    Adam Ruins Everything also did an episode on Suburbs. S2E10 for people who stream. They list all their sources too so you can view them if you don't believe. They do list some positives as well.

    I was at Buffalo Brewing one night and the train was stopped blocking Sawyer and everything east for over 30 mins. That's just ridiculous. At least now if you are north of the tracks there is a way to zig zag over to Studemont. Still quite an annoyance

    Does anyone know if there are changes to the rail line(s) in this area? The trains already cause traffic issues and I can only see it getting worse as this area gets built up more.

    First floor has HVAC and some framing. HVAC started on second floor, there's a bunch of straps in the ceiling. Third floor steel going up.

    Dumb question, but I'm a noob. What is the process they are using for the foundation walls? Are they pouring it layer by layer as they dig down? I have not seen that before.

    Well congrats! I can barely run a mile. I'm just working up to a 5k so props to a full marathon.
