That would be a very bold move for both Midway and said retailer to try that. Not sure the two fit, but hey... let's see!

Same. But going to go there tonight and find out how it is.
Update: still miss Night Shift, but not bad. The pork belly and octopus tacos were excellent. Good drinks/specials too.
Will be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Isn't Navigation already an underpass? Samson and York would be great (if bike-accessible), as would Commerce, but I would be very interested to see what the Commerce/Navigation underground intersection would look like...
Navigation is, yes. And you can take a quick right off Commerce to go under the Navigation underpass. I too was confused by this being listed here.

I hope everyone bikes/takes the bus over. I imagine the parking will be absolute hell.

I still don't understand why that building has a gap, but alas.

Looks like they didn't really change much up from Acadian's interior.

Street to Kitchen Thai on Harrisburg is also excellent.

One of these days there’ll be a fateful meeting up of HAIFers for sure! 😁
Apparently it will be at/near Guadalupe Park.

@citylivingWere these taken today? If so, were you the guy I saw at Guadalupe Park flying the drone around?

In my 8 years here I've noticed that most are empty.

I agree. Certainly would not require as much traffic as a full service grocery. My understanding, however, is that TJ's has very strict demographic requirement for their locations. That's not to say, that one of their stores would not be well received and utilized here...it would.
$100k/median household income, yes. As much as I love it here in East End we are definitely not the TJ target area.

My understanding re: sewer smell is that the sewage mains are right under Clinton. Personally, I've never smelled it *all the time,* just some times, but I'm not there too often.
Interestingly myself and a few coworkers all live within a half mile of each other. Two of us are south of the bayou (including one right on the south bank), one is north. The guy on the north side smells it often too.

Cafe Louie is now Louie's an Italian-American restaurant. The eatery is located in the Plant at 3401 Harrisburg Blvd, Suite G.
So strange. It only recently opened and opened to so many good reviews, yet every time I tried to go, it seemed to be closed (even during listed operating hours). I wonder what happened.

I genuinely thought we'd do it overland like Fitzcarraldo.
Very apt as it would have to pass Fitzcarraldo to get there.

Its pretty bad pizza honestly, but I'll still eat it if I'm hungry. It's about the same level as those pizza van guys and the best part is you don't have to talk to anyone. Now if we could get one of those serve yourself beer spots downtown I will be in heaven. Also, has anybody tried Citadel BBQ at 805 Dallas? I have never seen that place until today.
I have not, but it seems to be a chain as there is one right smack in the Med Center too. But as the old rule goes, if you don't see smoke coming from your BBQ joint, stay away...

I see a stage down there at the bottom of the fountain. I guess it's setup for ESPN College Game Day.
😄
I was there. Good times.

Interesting that they have a Navigation address, but are the Canal-side suite.
I know the building has the Navigation address, which is why this place does, but I'm sure it won't create any confusion.
