  1. So the Trueheart Hotel is owned by a member of the Adair family (Yes, Adair Kitchen family). The relevant LLC is Trueheart Hospitality, LLC.

This TABC application references Trueheart's 815, LLC., which doesn't have any Adair family members listed as agents.

    The agents listed are:

      Chris Shine of Frank's (https://www.frankshouston.com/)

       Georgia Carter (Tilly Investments, Landowner)

John Brown (Undetermined.. There is one John Brown listed as a Sous Chef in Houston?)

Looks like this could be a restaurant or bar concept, but perhaps not from the Adair family.

Speaking of East End Restaurants that are back, Villa Arcos has quietly reopened. Their web presence still shows them as closed (or as having reopened in June, depending), but the sign on the door shows that they are now open limited hours and limited capacity.

@JBTX we've been by a few times and each time they have been closed. Do you know what their new hours are?

    Thanks!

Because all Landry's projects are exactly the same?

    Downtown Aquarium

    Downtown Westin Hotel/Vic & Anthony's

    The Post Oak

    Kemah Boardwalk

    Galveston Pleasure Pier

    San Luis Resort

They're all basically amusement park-like or luxury experiencel. I'm hoping it's not the former.

I am obsessed with the future development of Navigation / Canal /Commerce.

    • There is a rotary / roundabout coming to replace the intersection at Jensen and Navigation / Runnels
    • Rumor has it that the Lumber Yard on Canal and Commerce was sold to the developers of Kemah Boardwalk (Landrys?)  Any truth to this ?

@DJF Where did you hear this rumor?

Can anyone find the "for sale" page for Olshan? If not, that could be the case. Especially since they were attempting to sell it in parcels.

The letter characterizes it as a “symbolic opt-in” to be subject to the Walkable Places Ordinance. It does not mention TOD at all.

Only drawback to work from home is I don’t have access to a scanner. I’m actually going into the office tomorrow, so I’ll try to scan the letter and post it here.

Turboscan is an app that that can scan a document to PDF from your phone! Highly recommend.
