  1. Yea It was good to see him take it to the rack, and get back on defense. Anyone been having trouble watching the games lately. I have uverse and the last two have been blacked out on FSN, and Sometimes if I just restart the system it will eventually show but the last two games after numerous restarts it would not work.

  2. Schaub was very dissapointing today. The offense did not try to get Andre the ball enough.

Has anyone else noticed the only time we go for a home run is on play action? We've gotta mix it up.

Yea I do not see why we can not get AJ the ball more. something the Texans need to work on.

  3. I agree w/ that even though we were up when he came in he brought an energy to the game that could be felt in the stands!!! I thought he should have played in Miami also, and he passed the ball well, not all assist but I am tired of these bad passes straight into the hands of the other team.

  4. Awesome win today.

Yeah they actually ran Addleman's offense with Tracy not having the ball in his hands the whole game where the defense just swarms him.The only reason Miami won was because they tripled teamed T_MAC the whole game and swarmed YAO while everyone else just stood around as compared to tonight where everyone was moving good w/out the ball.

  5. What a way to blow it... Same ol Same ol.. New coach same results. Five game losing streak. Way to go Rockets!!!! And spare me with it's early in the season. This team needs to make a trade.

Dang it is early in the season. They are learning a new system which BTW they have not been running lately. Do not worry you will get your trade wish before the end of the season. The Rockets will get back on track soon enough.

  6. Dwayne Rosario who scored the winning goal is the other star. Also, Ronaldo Clark is a good player who was suspended for kicking an opposing player a few weeks ago. He did not play in the championship game.

He also did not play last year because of supension. Here's ESPN higlight.

  7. I only saw about a quarter of tonight's game, but they showed Scolas halftime highlights and it looked like he was doing awesome again. Did he? I'm about to go check out the box score. Too bad we didn't play defense tonight.

Yea no defense at all. The Suns were shooting around 70% the 1st half mostly layups and wide open 3's. The Refs were horrible tonight, we could not buy a call at all. If you are making a certain call then you have to make the same call on the other side also.

  8. I agree, the article was very poorly written and probably contained factual errors. What's new?

I agree because It did state that the first operations would begin in 2012, so 18 years to get it running in Houston is a little far fetched IMO.

  9. I missed the end of the game and didn't read about it in the paper. Should we have won that game. I know we lost by three, right?

    ----

Who else here thinks JVG did a severe disservice to Yao's game when he came along? Yao was such a great passer his first year. Check out this video. It's about Francis, but Yao throws an

at the 3:30 mark...are you friggin kidding me?! I'll see if I can find that over the head, no look pass he made to Moochie on the base line.

    ----

Does anyone else think that the offense ran much more smoothly and w/o any hitches w/ Tracy out tonight?

    ----

It was real nice to see Scola play his game tonight. Wow.

Yea if Scola can hit that shot consistently Like I think he can watch out, because that will leave more spacing for Yao, and Tracy when he gets back.

  10. Of course not. It makes a better story for channel 11 to take the "Ain't it awful!?" route.

It's about time the police started mining this gold. Perhaps now, when buying or renting a house, people might put some thought into where they (and their guests) are going to park. And ticketing is probably a better idea than my solution (kick the hell out of the driver's door until they get the me$$age.)

Another thing: if Mr. Redneck would clean out his garage, he could park his truck where it ought to be.

If his garage was clean I still do not think that big truck would fit in it, unless he kept the garage open.

  11. I would really appreciate it if you could post a Google map link to the proposed site. I can't see those Microsoft map links in my web browser(s). :(

Google link to proposed area. If the light rail line dose indeed run down Capitol and Rusk that could be a problem, unless maybe they built a little south of the Texas, Dowling location.

  12. Missed free throws down the stretch cost us the game.

Not just down the stretch, but the whole game. 16 missed FT if you count the one Yao missed on purpose, thats just not Rockets basketball. I did think we needed to put Steve in if his conditioning was right to attack the rim as our shooters were off. I know Rafer is not the best shooter but like I said he is a streaky shooter and is not the only one missing shots. Mike James has been off, Shane Battier has been off, Bonzi wells has missed at least 5 easy lay ups the last two games would you want him to stop laying it up. I do agree it makes me mad when Rafer takes a quick three when we have better options, but if he is wide open the only way to get your shot back is to keep shooting. IMO he is shooting the ball to hard and maybe should take a step back from where he is shooting the ball now.

  13. "Walking around the area" is a poor excuse for reporting. Nevertheless, they might be onto something with that southwest corner of Dowling and Texas/Harrisburg.

One full block of the four that would be required is already owned by Harris County, and the few other warehouses right there are in pretty bad shape and don't have much character to them. There's also a large abandoned railroad ROW that cuts diagonally through two blocks. Those four blocks are adjacent to some closed streets that were converted to landscaped pedestrian areas as part of the Ballpark at the Lofts apartments development. Also, the East Downtown TIRZ has planned for a long time to convert the full-block gravel lot tucked into the Lofts into a park, so that could be a nice gathering place for sports-related events (complimenting Discovery Green), whether they're at MMP or the soccer stadium.

These blocks are also adjacent to the MMP parking lots, which means that they can sometimes be shared facilities. In fact, by getting more use (i.e. revenue) out of the MMP parking lots, there might just barely be an economic justification for developing the 6.75 blocks there with assloads of structured parking with a residential/retail wrap. Considering what's already right there, that'd yield a fully-contiguous 15.5-block area (50 acres, including streets) of nothing but four-or-more-story buildings and one full-block park, all with light rail running through it.

In comparison to Dallas' Victory Park, 75 acres, it makes a pretty good show...and that's all without actually requiring that some private entity purchase additional land for new construction. Now to be completely clear, I don't care for Victory Park. But I own properties in the East End, and yuppies do wonders for land values. So I don't know about anyone else, but this is something I could get excited about.

Not to mention all the newer town house's popping up over there!!

  14. Although I kind of like Tracy, I hope the Rox pull a trade to get Kobe. I'd take him over Tracy in a second.

I would not want that ball hog on the team it would be bad for the chemistry. Kobe whines to much for me!! Although, you would not be the only one as there were alot of Lakers fans in the building tonight!

  15. ...Plays that new NBA commercial music...

    rafer_stinks.jpg

Thats messed up. Rafer is a streaky shooter and is not the only one bricking. I do find it funny though :D . Although we missed many shots I thought the refs were making calls for the Grizzles they were not making on the other side.41-24 FT discrepancy

  16. A note about the NW mall mentioned earlier. Much of the parking lot will be eliminated because of the US 290 and Hempstead toll road construction.

Look at the schematics at www.my290.com.

The mall is also the top site for the proposed 290 commuter rail station to transfer to the LRT to Uptown.

In this video it shows NW mall untouched by 290 redevelopment.

Back on topic IMO I still think this would be a great addition to Houston anywhere it would be built.
