  1. I've read the article. It's nowhere saying the TV series will be filmed here in Houston. Only thing they mention is a woman name Tamara Houston, an RN from McLennan Community.
  2. Have you heard about the salary cap issue the NFL teams having this year? There's a couple of teams saying they don't know how they're going form a team this season especially, Washington Redskins. The Redskins GM stated in order to meet the salary cap they must release 10-15 players, maybe more. Teams that will have the most restructuring and slashing are, Oakland Raiders($31million over the cap); the Denver Broncos($22million over); NY Jets($25million over); Kansas City Chiefs($24million over); and the Washington Redskins($23million over). Teams with the most space under the salary cap include the Arizona Cardinals($23million under); Minnestoa Vikings($21million under); Green Bay Packers($19million under); the Cleveland Browns($18million under); and the San Diego Chargers($17million under). They also mention the teams over the cap this offseason are going to be squeezed without a new CBA. Teams under the cap the offseason are going to have a huge advantage over the other teams. And why spend millions and millions of dollars on one player, and you have these top runningbacks that are free agents this year... Mike Anderson - Denver(6 years)- Gary Kubiak will be looking at this one. Former Broncos, too? Ummm Jamal Lewis - Baltimore(6 years) Shaun Alexander - Settle(6 years) Edgerrin James - Clots(7 years) DeShaun Foster - Carolina(4 years) Michael Bennett - Vikings(5 years) Travis Henry - Titans(5 years) Dominic Rhodes - Clots(5 years) Stephen Davis - Carolina(10 years) Note: My opinion. Mike Anderson, DeShaun Foster, Michael Bennett, or Travis Henry will fit nicely with the Texans.
  3. My opinion about this. Do the Texans needs another top ranked RB? No. Do they need a top ranked QB? No. Do they need lineman(on both sides)? Hell, yes! LenDale White will suit Texans better then Reggie Bush. Wells, Morency, Davis and add LenDale White to the roster? I say two thumbs up! Why spend a great deal of money on one player just for a name? I'll say, trade Bush to NY Jets and spend the money where there's greater needs.
  4. Add to that list, Gary Walker has been released. Oh, by the way, DJ. Here's another article about trading first round pick. It's all over the web... http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/mld/kentu...kentucky_sports
  5. Texans just released three players... QB Tony Banks RB Tony Hollings FS Marcus Coleman
  6. Great news, Juniper. You know when the website be up, or groundbreaking?
  7. They interviewed the Texans GM at NFL Combine. He mention, "we're looking forward on trading the first round draft pick for players we're in need for." They already been approached by NY Jets, and many others. I've read and watch the video.
  8. Here is the soruce, DJ. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060227/ap_on_...bine_notebook_3
  9. As y'all may heard by now. Reggie Bush, nor Vince Young coming to the Texans. The Texans plans on trading their first round draft pick (bush). NFL teams have heard about the trade and buzzing Bob McNair's phone.
  10. Why haven't a developer try to uplift the Old Chinatown? Build more condo towers, or a mixed-use entertainment site? I think the Old Chinatown would be a A+ to downtown's tourist.
  11. Do y'all think these people will go back home when New Orleans get's back on it's feet? What will happen to the houses? Will the subdivison still be called, "Angel Lane?"
  12. One question. Why did Oprah built the homes in Houston instead of New Orleans?
  13. " A brand new subdivision in Houston, The Village of Glen Iris on South Main (Key Map 572 F)." A quote from the article nmainguy posted. Thanks, nmainguy.
  14. I was watching Oprah Winfery Show today, and I was wondering where is Angel Lane located in Houston? That's were she donated $10 million of her own money to build homes for 60-65 New Orleans families.
  15. ^^Well put, N Judah. Like they say, "You can't please everyone." You may not like it, but the next person do.
  16. It's not only him. Other people don't like Houston as well. Some of these people that posts on here bashes Houston, too. Lord knows sometimes I do, but I want Houston to get better. We're the 4th largest city in the nation and don't even get credit for that. Bill Simmons is a pain in the ass, but you have to listen and read his articles about Houston, maybe we, the city may learn something. I know you can't please everybody, but they need to address these questions to the people and make a survey for Houston residents, and tourist. Why you hate Houston so much? And what can the city do to improve this matter?
  17. I think that's something Houston High Schools need to think about, at lease a district.
  18. I told y'all before. Houston is the next concrete city. Developers by me off of Beltway 8 already torn down over thousands of arces building another subdivision, with retail, a WAL-MART, CVS, WAL-GREENS, and a elementary school. It's going to look lovely when they get finish, but still, they're cutting down alot of trees. Furthermore, they torn down looks like over 80-100 acres off of 59 north. I've heard they're building another WAL-MART, townhomes, more retail and resturants.
  19. Looks great! I was wondering. Is there a High School that has an indoor football stadium? I mean they have High School indoor basketball. Just a thought.
  20. It's no rumor, cause the way that team playing now it's a shame. I wouldn't doubt T-Mac wants out.
  21. Since DART is so successful, while Metro isn't. Let's get DART here in Houston, maybe then we could stop fighting over funds. Damn, is everything that Houston do is slow? And were the 4th largest city in the nation? Hell, Dallas act more like the 4th largest city then Houston, and you could take that to the bank.
  22. Oh, no. Pappas BBQ have the best BBQ probably in Texas. I love their BBQ, its better then Luther's I tell ya that much. I'm excited that Pappas bought out Luther's. So, houstonmacbro. Is Pappas going to change all of Luther's into Pappas BBQ all over Houston, or what?
  23. I stay on the Northeast side of town, and I still drive to Katy Mills every now and then. Pearland is not that far then Katy. Furthermore, my sister drives from the Northeast side to Clear Lake just to shop on her days off.
