I agree. To me, the clock tower looks like one that would be in an old-timey railroad depot.
So run of the mill cookie cutter project from Katy?
-
It would have looked nice on the perimeter of Discover Green or close to 59.
Or in midtown. :-)

Likely another box. I hope I'm wrong.

Good luck with that...

Buldoze it to the ground and move the greyhound station there.
Negative. I'm in the east end. I think Katy would be a more appropriate place. After all... Katy-ian churches are running around downtown trying to
spread their liesfeed the homeless. Well then let's bring the needy to them. -
Lame design.

Ok where are the pics? :-)

New Caney, Porter, Atascocita, and Humble are now under the control of the Kingwoodianites. Now as someone with family in the northeast of Houston, I for one would like to welcome our suburban overlords and remind them as an active poster on HAIF that I can round up others to frequent the endless new front parking stripmalls, buy homes on cold-a-sacs, and to sit in the mind-numbing sprawl-induced traffic that will result.
Is this good or bad?

It's in a hidden corner of a hidden ranch in the middle of nowhere. Grate.

Why did the jumper do this?

Looks nice. About time midtown gets some proposals.

Umm.. I guess no one realized the entire side of Market Square Park facing this tower/Kim Son is divided from the rest of the park with a large wall and completely fenced in for a dog park. Do you really want to sit at some sidewalk patio/cafe location and watch dogs take shits across the street from you the whole time? Doesn't seem very appealing to me. I don't think the retail is that bad. I just think they if they don't anchor a large tenant taking up all the northern retail spaces then they will have a hard time leasing the central retail block that lacks any street front connectivity.
You have a point. For this reason alone, I cannot imagine why these *#*#*#*#* dog parks are getting popular and seem to be everywhere these days. Next thing you know, they will allow dogs in restaurants. Ugh.

What's that building to the right of MMP?

So it's a go? It is proceeding?

No one got this.
Sorry... what's the punch line?

I believe it used to be a sulfur mound of sorts. I remember it used to be a yellowish color.

Any grocery store opening in a food desert will likely take on the added burden of paying for more security it seems.

Awesome, so when does construction start?

Anyone have a story like this? Woke up this morning and on my way to school I get a call from a really angry dude saying I hit his car and took his bumper off. As I'm trying to explain I have no idea what he's talking about, he says he has a note "I left" at the scene with my number on it and kept asking me for my insurance. I keep telling him I have no idea what the hell is going on and he starts to get really angry, to which I respond "alright let's calm down and figure this out" Then he starts laughing and I hear an automated voice go "You've just been pranked!"
What the hell kind of prank is that? I've never heard of anything like that, but job well done because it definitely scared the shit out of me
Sounds like it's related to those virtual kidnappings brought to you by Los zetas.

Crappy strips from crappy "developers".
-
Is this some hoax? Ppl in that part of town usually have connections that would tell them about something like this.
-
It will blend into bland surroundings.
-
Lets hope this spurs another 4 or 5 towers.
-
There are studies questioning the reliability of eyewitnesses...
(for the skeptics - did I put in enough links?)
I'm liking this post solely because I lile certain mollusks ... on my plate! :-)
