I don't know what this was and I don't know that this is the right place for it, but there's some kind of activity on the lot across from Drewery in front of the mural - plywood in unusual formations. Still a big FOR SALE sign so I don't know what's being done but it's odd.

Has there been any update about Homeslice in the t'afia space? I can't find anything since March of this year.

The Midtown Lodge (flop house at 2910 Crawford) was finally sold and sounds like it's being cleared out. Some possibly good news there!

This property (SE corner of La Branch and McGowen) has had signage about upcoming renovations to include restaurant/retail/etc for a few years without any signs of progress. Now there is finally a fence around it and there were workers on site when I walked by yesterday.

lived a few blocks from Kim Tai (McGowen and Fannin) for years and never been. Figured there was never as good a time as now. It was great! Good spring rolls, egg with rice flour cake, and bo luc loc! Hope they survive though the building sure does stand out..
