  1. Ha! I just posted on reddit today that I was growing skeptical about this. Good timing.
  2. I've belonged to the church across the street for 32 years (I'm 32 years old). Very curious to see how this all impacts the area given that we just finished an enormous renovation.
  3. https://www.bizjournals.com/houston/news/2017/09/21/future-midtown-park-newly-opened-museum-seeking.html In which HBJ makes this unfortunate error:
  4. I guess a lot of garages are still closed. I went to hobby center today to buy tickets (screw ticketmaster fees) and usually just have to park on 2...had to park on 6 today.
  5. More siding is up. Also signage on the south side at least. Also they are advertising the restaurant space on the north side:
  6. And Rice is the only school to have played Alabama more than once and be undefeated....fun fact! Now back on topic.
  7. Rice used to regularly play UT, A&M, LSU, and Arkansas as part of the SWC, so it would regularly fill up. This is also due to there not being pro football in Houston when the stadium was built. It also hosted the Super Bowl in the 60's. So now it doesn't make sense, but it was logical at the time. Fun fact, all Rice alumni living or dead couldn't fill the stadium..or at least they told us that at orientation.
  8. I know this remains not sexy, but they've made a lot of progress on these homes in the last month, particularly in the last week. Just bringing it to attention as Harvey appears to have not slowed this construction. Much of the wood frame is already complete.
  9. How's everyone faring? Here's my view in Midtown by Baldwin Park.
  10. I went to Beer Market Friday. It was great! Almost overwhelming with the number of both beers and TVs.
  11. I wonder if there are any specs anywhere. The "projects" site on the midtown site hasn't been updated since 2015.
  12. By all means. Would be nice to get a firm source.
  13. I heard that that is where the construction workers for the Caroline redo are setting up camp. But I don't know much more than that. If this is the Caroline complete streets project, we sure haven't heard much about it in a while.
  14. This is all good news but what's the story with greensheet? I know they announced something a while ago but doesn't look like it's been touched.
  15. Also not particularly groundbreaking, but interesting nonetheless: http://www.chron.com/business/real-estate/article/Moody-Rambin-hired-to-find-tenants-for-Midtown-11739552.php#photo-12270603
