  1. More siding is up. Also signage on the south side at least. Also they are advertising the restaurant space on the north side:
  2. And Rice is the only school to have played Alabama more than once and be undefeated....fun fact! Now back on topic.
  3. Rice used to regularly play UT, A&M, LSU, and Arkansas as part of the SWC, so it would regularly fill up. This is also due to there not being pro football in Houston when the stadium was built. It also hosted the Super Bowl in the 60's. So now it doesn't make sense, but it was logical at the time. Fun fact, all Rice alumni living or dead couldn't fill the stadium..or at least they told us that at orientation.
  4. I know this remains not sexy, but they've made a lot of progress on these homes in the last month, particularly in the last week. Just bringing it to attention as Harvey appears to have not slowed this construction. Much of the wood frame is already complete.
  5. I went to Beer Market Friday. It was great! Almost overwhelming with the number of both beers and TVs.
  6. I wonder if there are any specs anywhere. The "projects" site on the midtown site hasn't been updated since 2015.
  7. By all means. Would be nice to get a firm source.
  8. I heard that that is where the construction workers for the Caroline redo are setting up camp. But I don't know much more than that. If this is the Caroline complete streets project, we sure haven't heard much about it in a while.
  9. This is all good news but what's the story with greensheet? I know they announced something a while ago but doesn't look like it's been touched.
  10. Also not particularly groundbreaking, but interesting nonetheless: http://www.chron.com/business/real-estate/article/Moody-Rambin-hired-to-find-tenants-for-Midtown-11739552.php#photo-12270603
  11. 2614 Caroline has a demolition permit today. Its ownership changed to Christus in May. Does this mean yet another healthcare clinic for the area?
  12. Idk if this really affects this project, but I saw they came across a pretty sizable cash influx the other day: http://www.theaustralian.com.au/business/property/dfp-backs-caydon-with-100m/news-story/5b3085b7c7b5b8b6c3419496240825c4
  13. Speaking of residential, a development sign finally went up on the lot on the southeast corner of La Branch and Elgin. UPDATE 7/19/17: Per the Houston Permitting site, 4 residents have building permits now (Assuming this is 3203-3211 La Branch). UPDATE 7/20/17: But not sexy enough for a new post. They broke ground on this yesterday apparently.
  14. Ho Foods is on the signage again - sorry it's at a distance:

  16. This is on the plat report for next week's meeting - more townhouses :| "Colina Court on Elgin" http://mycity.houstontx.gov/plattrackerreports/RptSpecialSortDraftAgendaItems.aspx
  17. Chronicle has it today http://www.chron.com/neighborhood/memorial/business/article/Morgan-breaks-ground-on-luxury-apartment-10931749.php
