Please make a Delano bridge so I can walk to ninfas

The batteries are pretty big so it takes a while to charge them

Maybe downtown management district is tracking your location and only turning on fountains while you're downtown

I remember we looked at the townhouses across the street from this, and the realtor said the building was owned by one couple who used it as their house and hosted parties in it. I always was skeptical, but I guess it really was their house

They’ll just move to doing donuts in the intersection next to my house while I’m trying to sleep

This is probably the best solution, pedestrian & neighborhood wise. I wonder how it will affect the flooding right now - they mentioned the current tracks acting like a flood barrier

I hope all those sky bridges will be air-conditioned and have moving sidewalks. If they are, I can get to target in like 12 minutes

Man the Westheimer corridor is the most prime spot in Houston for rail/subway IMO. It's by far the highest ridership bus route.
I think Westheimer only gets a rapid transit route as a subway, and that's only happening with drastically reduced construction costs for subways. A subway line there could be the backbone of the western metro network if it existed, but it would be easily $100 billion

It was standing this morning with that excavator parked very close, and then when I got home it was gone. I always liked the look of the house ever since someone painted it a bright blue and yellow pattern - didn't realize that it was vacant until today
I hope it was vacant anyway

The Astros middle management arrives in cars parked north of Minute Maid, so is is really the gateway to the ballpark

my only reasoning to explain not investing on the Texas/Crawford façade -
I’m interested in how the 4 year time line will affect development in east downtown - I would think knowing you have 4 years would attract a bunch of short term concepts to make a buck

I-10 inside 610 has no Hov lane until it’s about 2 miles from downtown. Letting P&R buses use the new Katy BRT lanes would greatly improve their timetable and could be the difference between [friend] driving himself and using the P&R bus to TMC

Those are some isolated looking townhouses

Hopefully at some point the Alvin freeway could be built, and then the 45/610 interchange demolished entirely and rebuilt in a way that it doesn't cause slowdowns in both directions all day on 45

The original Metro next plan had something called "westheimer signature service" in it. This could be part of that implementation.

Those shelters should be the new standard

For this project it is probably due to the current condition of the roads. You also need good sidewalks leading to stations for transit to be useful

I would of course want both

Is this really needed though? Does there need to be another highway coming into downtown?
If they complete it before starting on NHHIP it will be an important reliever of all the construction traffic. I wonder if it would be possible to include this connector in transit connections to the north side (particularly the airport)

My bet would be a Target in downtown and HEB in the east river development

In east downtown we just have old railroad crossings that were never properly paved over to slow traffic down - there's at least 3 on Delano, otherwise it would be a drag strip at night

having recently been at this intersection near school dismissal (I'm guessing the "Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School"), and seeing waiting parents parked on Jensen, and then wrapped around the corner onto Navigation, I am wondering how this roundabout is going to look around school dismissal?
especially, if as it appears, there's only one lane on Jensen headed north as it comes out of this roundabout.
The parents will just keep going around the circle until they see their kid
