TIRZ can't do anything because the city controls permitting. The TIRZ was told to go back to the drawing board and redesign their project. The city gave them conditions (no lane reductions and 6 ft sidewalks). The ball is in their court to come back with a new plan. I think the anti-Whitmire camp needs a new strategy. Calling the mayor names is not going to work. I would also consider replacing Joe Cotrufo because he is not very effective with this administration.

TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - UPDATE: The Temple Police Department on Tuesday identified 22-year-old Abigail Boatwright and 17-year-old Evan Boatwright, both of Gatesville, Texas, as the victims who died after a wreck involving a tractor-trailer hauling an oversized load over the weekend. The trailer was carrying a distillation column, which is used in the refinery process of oil and gas, according to Temple Fire. It’s believed to have come from the Houston-area and was headed somewhere West.
