Houston Business Journal has an article about the property today but I'm not a paid subscriber so I couldn't read it. http://www.bizjournals.com/houston/news/2016/11/15/houston-luxury-homebuilder-still-bullish-on.html

Monarch: They looked like in the ground lights embedded in the sidewalk. According to a worker this is a water fountain feature.

Come around the corner and see all these trucks and a AT crane with it's boom laid down on the street. I'm thinking this seems kind of late to get started to take down the last sections of the tower crane. Turns out TNT had major mechanical problems with their crane they were going to use to remove the remaining portions of the tower crane. They couldn't get the wings to move into position and without them it would be impossible to get the tower crane down. Their mechanic attempted to repair it all day Saturday but couldn't get it to work. They were taking apart the crane when I happened by. Policeman providing traffic control said the TNT boss was not in a good mood. TNT will have to eat this this job and try to reschedule a street closure to finish the job. Hopefully Hines, Harvey and TNT have enough clout to get a street closure permit from the city soon but with Thanksgiving parades coming soon I don't see it happening till early December unless they can get a permit for next weekend.

I'm trying to guess which tower crane will be next to come down after 1825 and 609 (postponed removal), my guess is Alessandra before Aris or Catalyst.

Eighteen25 Downtown: Multifamily At 1825 San Jacinto St.
hindesky replied to Urbannizer's topic in Downtown
They only needed 1 day to take the tower crane down. Southern side. Hopefully they do something to make that parking garage entrance better looking. Eastern side.- 285 replies
