  1. Oh, it's open already? Sweet!
  2. HEB Sugar Land at 59/99 has it for 2.29 a gallon!
  3. Will it have the good old "mark all topics as read" feature? As of now, I have over 18,000 posts that come up when I use the function. That little bit aside, it's looking pretty slick! I must commend you for all the work you do for this site!
  4. And where do you supposed that will be, eh?
  5. Santa Elena, Costa Rica, if the signs in some of the pictures are correct.
  6. Yeah, Dusseldorf. The Gehry bldgs gave it away.
  7. They could have gotten more GREEN points if they used actual shipping container paneling on the sides. That would have been pretty SLICK, actually! Still, very nice!
  8. If you're closer towards the "south bend" of 6, you might wanna check out the Riverstone Lifetime Fitness.
  9. Ours always bear a lot of fruit, but yes; I do NOT recommend them. Most of the kinds that will bear fruit around here are not the "stereotypical" bananas; they're plantains. They are messy and require a lot of trimming, especially in the spring. They can also be quite invasive.
  10. Anything native will do well; ya know, your oaks, pines, pecans, etc. Citrus varieties do quite well here, but make sure it does not get any fungus or wilt. The humidity here can do that sometimes. Pomegranates can get quite large, but they will not have fruits too often if conditions are not right. They have some really nice flowers though, and can even be used as hedging. Fig trees can get quite large here; there's a nice specimen near the Menil, if I am not mistaken.
  11. They don't make construction workers like they used to, eh?
  12. Sadly, the "thieves in suits" often make their beds with the politicians, which enables them to fleece the populace even more!
  13. Keep in mind that the heat index they give, let alone the temperature, is in THE SHADE. So yes, it IS possible to feel like 150, if you're in the sun; all the radiation from the sun has to land somewhere, ya know! This is what explains the "urban heat island" phenomenon; all of the sun's energy hitting concrete/asphalt=more ambient heat.
  14. Heh....you could try Hobby Lobby or Michael's. The last I checked, they have some reasonably priced painting classes.
  15. Oh, so this is what the Aggie architecture program is like, eh? jk jk
  16. *shrugs* There are some things I'd get (and have recently purchased) from WalMart, of course...sorta like you stated; basic sporting goods, etc, along with certain other goods that Target does not stock. However, I have had firsthand experience with certain off-label products from WalMart and Target, of which the Target ones were found to be superior, with a minimal price difference anyway. Other than that, it is obvious that a lot of the items are still made with the same sweatshop practices and the like. That fact itself isn't major to me, and I still prefer Target due to the less rowdy crowds and the less depressing lighting/store.
  17. They would probably be doing fine, if it were not for the horrendous drought we are in. But hey, the fittest of the plantings should survive, lowering future maintenance costs, which will also solve the issue of them being planted too close together!
  18. Ottawa, ON, Soviet Canuckistan.
  19. Very European...somewhere in either Germany or Austria. the architecture itself isn't as "Bavarian" as typical German cities, so I'd prolly go with Vienna or something in Austria.
  20. Thanks for all the hard work, Editor! I would also like to extend a thanks to those who donated to make this possible. (Maybe I'll be able to donate myself once I'm done being a broke uni student...lol)
  21. Umm...maybe Niche knows about this rumor, eh? Or is he "not able to disclose this" as usual?
