That is the block I’m most excited about for downtown. I have high hopes for that one!

Narrow bit of sidewalk right there right now, it brings you uncomfortably close to the stoned homeless man trying to wreck the stanchions between the street lane and the light rail track. Seems the dollar store crowd has moved down 3-4 blocks. 

Did you see work being done? The plywood has been there since March I believe.

Regardless whether or not this is a chosen concept, it shows that Houston First is thinking big.

I’ll be the hater 😬. I like the ground floor stuff but the towers are blah. Obvious improvement but still.

100%. And for 13 million it looks like they got ripped off. 

This place was PAAAACKED Saturday night. The parking lot looked like a car show and there was a very long line just to get into this place.

So Pics 4 and 5 show a tower on the empty lot they own next to One Park Place, right? It’s much clearer if you click on the link. 

Is that transit station really ill-placed? That was my grandpas bus station and grocery store in the 90s 😢

The pics I posted were from yesterday. Locomotive was still there as well as the house but with plans to move both. Someone has the plans on the previous page.

BUT, revenue is horrible right now for all sports teams and 2021 isnt exactly looking phenomenal for ticket sales.  My gut tells me that they will scrape the site, asphalt the thing for the short term and have it ready to go when their long term plans finalize.

Remember they would still have to build the thing and things are looking a little better with vaccines and limited capacity in stadiums. By the time it’s built maybe things are closer to normal?
