I think the art on the BLVD is new. I love seeing it since we didnt have this years ago. The Blvd was a very quiet street years ago.

Went to Boil House this weekend. Their CrawFish was cooked perfect. Going to go back before the season ends for sure.

They are opening something at the old Blockbuster on 20th. Restaurant?

SMH. You dont get it. Some people have roots here and its folks who have these types of comments, 'your 900sqft bungalow', that are ruining it. Ha. You come off so negative on this and ND site. I'm all for new developement but this us and them is ridiculous. I've lived here all of my life, so you can build whatever you want. This will never erase the memories I have of this place. Lets see these houses after our next big hurricane. I grew up in a bungalow and those houses are built to last. Be nice behind your keyboard son. P.S. I like to VISIT Katy, its changed so much over the last 30 years.

I'm sure it will be. The decor and colors are beautiful. Food is OK at best and yes they are getting your money. Im just saying if you explore a little, there are many hidden gems around the area.....for so much less $$. What is real Mexican food? Depends, if your in Mexico, its there. Youre in Texas, so there goes your answer.

I agree with this, but if you are going to put out a product in a city that is saturated with plenty of delicious 'authetintic' foods, it better be at least close to it. Just my opinion.

These prices at these restaurants are just ridiculous. Ive lived here a long time and its comical what some folks think is good food. How are you going to open a Mexican restaurant that doesnt serve REAL Mexican food? Putting a car on a building and hanging up colorful lights doesnt do it. The food folks. Its the food.SMH. I'll just keep on making a trip to the other side of 45 or East Houston for some authentic Mexican Food.

I tried them this weekend and was pleasantly surprised. I had been to other Los Cucos restaurants near the outer burb areas but this one was very different. The drinks were on point too! Great little place but its kind of pricey.

There is a new Chicken place off N.Main, right next to Lei Lo. I happen to pass by and grabbed a 2 piece. It was pretty good. I think it was called the Chicken Ranch? I might be wrong but the food was good and it was packed.

Traffic is going to be worst going into Six Ward and First Ward.....ooops "The Arts District"

Another retail spot would be better than those ugly condo/townhomes that are going up on Yale. This intersection hasnt always been this busy but it has always been a !!!!! to cross. Ive seen many accidents and near accidents here. Unfortunatly, with the recent growth in HH, Im afraid most intersections off Yale will be just as bad. We have a lot of folks that cut thru our neighborhood to get to 610.

I'm hoping the Birdhouse ownership reads this and gives the girl up front a raise. Im sure they are working on how to staff for what times and days. No reason to b!tch about it because they couldnt cook chicken like the fast-food chain down the street. The chicken was damn good when I went. I'll be going back for sure.

I went and tried this and it was pretty damn good. I think they are a drive through but you can easily park on Oxford and walk there. Not a big place but great for a quick bite.

Didnt his mom live here next to Helms Elem and dad in Pasedena? I forgot about all of that. We moved here around 74. There was also 2 other killers in this area. I want to say that Henry Lucas guy was also thought to have killed a girl in 1st Ward.....which is now the 'Arts District'. Then there was that guy that buried a woman along the bayou near Stude Park. He lived in the SkyLine Apartments that are now torn down. Does anyone else remember this?

Lots of petty thefts and break ins in the Heights yes. There has always been crime here and all over Houston. You just get more of it in your face because of social media. Theives are going to where the $$ is. Its not a small town folks. WE NEED MORE POLICE PRESENCE. Memorial, West U, Bellaire, Galleria, Pearland, and Friendswood uhm....OK @Subdude NextDoor Heights app. I mean, what do I know? Ive only been here for over 40 years.

Folks on ND Heights are freaking out. Growing up here, I've seen this before unfortunatly. It didnt happen all of the time but as a young man I saw scenes like this before We do need more police presence around here. Do we even know what happened? Where it happened? Did it happen in the Heights? Did he get dumped there? I think we should let the investigators figure it out before we flip out. Crime in HOUSTON is pretty bad. Very sad.

I tried Skinny Ritas on Main last week and it was great. Bar was good and the kitchen was good. A little slow but thats expected during an opening of a new restaurant. Going again this week.

I remember him well. His pain through his words during this horrible time made us all feel for those poor girls. RIP.
