7 million dollar bridge on Swamplot.
-
It is parallel next to Montrose over Buffalo Bayou. On the west side of Montrose Blvd.
-
They are also building a bridge next to Montrose. I saw the design but cannot remember where I saw it. Maybe Culture Map I'll try to look for it. It is a totally different design with a steel are over it.

METRO is already doing a study on US90A/Southwest Rail Corridor commuter rail from Fort Bend to Harris county to connect with the Fannin rail station. Currently it is in EIS (ROD) Final design will be in 2015. That should help some commuters once it is completed.

I want the rail down Richmond Ave. Metro spend millions for the study but Culberson killed it. Time to move on, I hope they build a Tollway from Kirby to the Galleria right through Afton Oaks! They did not want rail and got their way. Now it all the mid rises and retail off Westheimer. Hundreds of cars will cut through Afton Oaks due to all the traffic. Unless they can build bridges over Westheimer and Richmond.

All this bickering is pointless. Richmond is in such bad shape, potholes, it floods all the time. They are building midrises from Kirby to the spur and Richmond Ave will only get worse. Since Culberson got his way. They should rebuilt it to one lane in each direction in the middle. And the rest of it have bike lanes, huge sidewalks with a park. Add lots of tress and landscaping. That would make everybody happy! There is a book called "Made for Walking" by Julie Campoli. How so many cities transformed from traffic, closed business into walkability.

Niels Esperson Building, Partial Conversion To Multifamily
nativehoustonion replied to MidtownCoog's topic in Downtown
Great pictures it's a beautiful building. Cannot believe you got up there. -
It is going through testing right now. I saw it landing Wednesday at the hanger at IAH. There was 787-8 next to it. United expect 3 more this year, and 10 more 737-900ERs. They also ordered another 70 ERJ-175s the 76 seat delivery expected 2Q next year and ground those 50 seat ERJs! Thanks goodness.

I got this morning and saw the post. How hilarious when TMC is larger then Downtown Dallas. It looks like neon city with no sizeable buildings. -
No I live on the other side of Alabama off Steel St. I can see the construction workers from my second floor. They are working on it even on Saturdays. They are getting ready to install outside façade.

Yes it is great, but residents from La Mansion and putting recycled items in our bin. We have to park the bins at Revere and Steel. They must be 3 feet apart for the truck to unload it. Other residents are putting them too close together which caused and mess yesterday.

Thanks found it 48 first class seats how nice. Booked it cannot wait!

Thanks I like your imput. I got confused reading the Downtown Houston Development map. It shows Capitol westbound and Rusk eastbound.

Thanks for the videos. I'm a little confused the East Line Downtown goes westbound on Capitol and Purple Line goes eastbound on Rusk? So from Downtown if you want to take the East Line you take the Purple Line and transfer at the BBVA Stadium? The bad thing is cars will share the track that is not good!
