  1. Martha Turner sold a hug block off San Felipe, Spann, and Welch for a 46 story high rise. It is very quite right now because of the Hines building. Residents did not like the Hines building. They will scream if they built this one. Urbanizzer can find out leaving town tomorrow.
  2. Who cares most of the employes will live in the Houston Metro area bringing in so much money. Those 55 members should stay in Irvine. Who cares!
  3. I'm leaving tomorrow and will take it to the W Hotel. Hopefully you will not mind my experience when I fly back. I will take the shuttle coming back and see what is better. I have a early Wednesday so DART schedule takes too long. I will take pictures and see how good DART operates. Please get over it.
  4. It is just an update Tiger if you like do not read it. Everyone in Houston should contact their representative. This blog does nothing. I have taken DART many times it took 1 hour to get from downtown to Richardson. This is a good step for them tell me your experience when you took DART? or forget it.

  6. They finished the Orange Line from Terminal A at DFW that has access to Downtown. Dallas has the largest light rail system in the USA. We really suck down here. DART has some flaws with low ridership and trip times are longer but they a bragging up north.
  7. Yes they a building a huge brewery there. The bartenders at Whole Foods told me. There happy hours is from 3-7 with all kinds of draft beer of Alabama.
  8. I go to Whole Foods off Alabama every day. I know 5 people that put in a transfer to the one off Post Oak. They said it is taking longer because they are building there own brewery there. They never mentioned the manager.
  9. This is way off the topic. MTERO is concentrating the opening the two rail lines. They may start construction next year of a heavy rail or light rail from south Gessner to hook up with the RED line off Fannin running down US90A/SWRC. Right now it is in study you can find it at ridemetro.org under Currents Projects. There are no plans to extend the light rail to the airports.
  10. This high rise will compliment Kirby. It is looking very nice that the cables are underground and the trees are growing. The nice sculpture in the middle of the street at Westheimer. Kirby Thor is next, whoever bought the property on Richmond and Kirby where Office Depot, Supercuts have to wait till their lease is up. Which could take 5 years. They are getting to bury the power lines on Westheimer from Shepard to Weslayen add landscaping and wider sidewalks. Stay away if you can because Shepard has only one lane in each direction. It will take a year to finish Shepard. This new highrise is it for rent? 2727 Kirby are for sale and very expensive. Nobody has bought the top floor.
  11. Large Bottle Trees are nice. They grow up to 20-25 feet in spring have beautiful red blooms that look like bottle brushes. They also attract hummingbirds perfect barrier.
  12. It's a nice design. I live on the eastern side of Steel St. I can see Upper Kirby Gable behind of West Alabama my condo window. OMG traffic is gong to get worse. The good things I can walk to numerous restaurants in the area. Whole Foods is one block away.
  13. The Astros are playing pretty well. MMP is bringing in more attendance. Mattress Mat may have to pay a lot of money if they win 65 games. They a speeding the Marriott quickly I was there last week, it full speed ahead.
  14. I walked by there yesterday and the Hines lot is empty, but nothing going on. I think the market is there the latest population estimates for Houston is 2,195,995 for 2013 from the census bureau. Forbes rank Houston the 4th coolest city. A lot younger people are moving here and want to live inside the loop.
  15. The last six months they are last in on time performance with the network airlines. The government fined them for not following maintenance rules. Hopefully they will improve once AirTran is gone in October.
  16. This building is nothing but a dream. One, Two, Three Allen Centers are not fully leased. Same for Total Plaza and 1600 Smith has more than 150,000 square feet not leased. That is why it's a dream for now.
  17. It looks like they are starting the foundation of the tower first.
  18. That is the old rendering when it was 41 floors. It is taller then that when finished at 49 floors.
  19. I meet some friends of mine there for drinks. They work for ExxonMobile it has a nice view and you can walk outside. Never had their food.
