JW Marriott At 806 Main St. & Expansion Into Battlestein’s - 812 Main St.
monarch replied to Houston19514's topic in Downtown
tigereye, i cannot thank you enough my pal, as per these incredible illustrations. this particular marriott project, ranks along side the river oaks district, as my current construction favorites. i have been in and out of town lately, and your's, larry's, triton's, and a small host of others... have been hereby keeping us abreast as per all ongoing activity. the 13ft gryphon, imo, is a complete masterpiece. this totally innovative, and yet intellectual art work, shall hereby enhance houston's current reputation as the IT place to be. pretty soon, the outside porte cochere, shall hereby be completed, and it's lights shall be initiated. this, is ultimately what i have been awaiting. once this transpires, that whole area shall become the essential. it shall be beautiful. thanks again everyone! -
pretty cool! props for sharing.

houston19514, you are a great haif stalwart, and i absolutely love your creative input. however, you have now stumped me into the abyss! i have hereby traveled all over this world to some degree. i have had the foremost pleasure of lodging at some of the most high end establishments that there is.... furthermore, when i travel abroad as per some great relaxation along with some of the best shopping that there is, i venture forth to dubai, uae. i always lodge at either HOTEL KEMPINSKI, connected via skywalk to the MALL OF THE EMIRATES vs THE ADDRESS HOTEL, connected via walkway to the DUBAI MALL. now, this is just two of my highlighted favorites. should i take the initiative to mention all of the rest of them... you probably would not believe it! now the purpose behind my astonishment, is that.. i have never, ever, experienced anything that could hereby come CLOSE to a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! in fact, my experiences with lodging at a hotel that is connected to a shopping mall, simply reek's of prominence, efficiency, safety, customer friendly, and every other positive accolade that one may purposely espouse. houston's galleria traffic is hereby notorious. houston's inclement weather conditions, heat included... are hereby notorious. therefore, may you please point out to me, just why connecting the new hyatt regency to the houston galleria, should be such a horrible idea.

The Galleria Mall At 5085 Westheimer Rd.
monarch replied to TreaderCRC's topic in Uptown and Galleria Area
i concur, regarding the need for more pedestrian traffic upon the immediate galleria vicinity. however, i am all for eliminating any form of pedestrian accidents as well. not to mention, expensive wet shopping bags during inclement weather conditions. please trust me my pal, this hotel shall seem like a very long walk during one of houston's famous thunderstorms. in regards to dillards, i have been hereby stating for quite a number of years, that this particular edifice should be completely torn down and reconstructed elsewhere. nonetheless, a few months ago, i read that this particular diillards, shall indeed be torn down at some point. this shall be in lieu, as per new plan to reconstruct it as part of an anchor for a new galleria 5. not at all certain if this is indeed the truth, but this is what i read. trust me, my fingers are indeed crossed. -
concur. simply outstanding work. much appreciated.

i guess that i find it really surprising that there is no planned enclosed walkway, as per customers to and from the houston galleria. wouldn't this be most feasible, since it is located directly across the street.
