And a Concorde for a very short while.

Braniff. The real Braniff. The Flying Colors Braniff. With an Orange 747 and a Calder painted DC-8. Now, that was a cool airline. Used to give 727 gliders to kids. Don't even get me started on the FA's uniforms. Great stuff.
There's a lot more. But yeah. Braniff.

San Luis - Houston?

Still trying to get my head around this. It's amazing and really never thought that TXDot would shoot for the "Grand Option". All is far from said and done, I know. But Wow...just Wow. I'm a little curious how motorists coming up 45 or West on I-10 will get over to Allen Pkwy, Midtown and Montrose, most efficiently. Also, Looks Like Charters will be eliminated and St. Emmanuel will become Primary northbound surface lanes. Not sure, but appears that the blocks between will be preserved. Right? Wondering about Tout Suite Coffee Shop...

This part of the public was is unaware of that. Good idea. HC is in the middle of everything now. And the "pedestrian experience" is abysmal. Just where did you see this, Cloud?

...and not a rendering has been shown. At least as far as I know.

I don't like it either, as a pedestrian. But, that's probably the reason of the developer.

Incognito was a in the warehouse area just East of Downtown (now Eado), in late 90's.

One way streets, and ballgame/event traffic would neccessitate multiple entry/exits. It's a good idea as a convenience for the tenants. Traffic congestion would be a major concern if I were considering relocation to the area.

^^ Nobody, back then, would have predicted that baseball would ever be played indoors either.

I'll go up to Kirby, turn north and eat at Carrabba's about a mile away.

Yes. This looks like it would be located West of the Elevated Rail line.

That makes sense. Interesting to know. Thanks for the info.

To me it looks as if the glass is opaque and seems lifeless and unlike glass on any other buildings. If anything, we are judging an unfinished project too early. But, I don't think we are being picky. Many of us are simply expressing and noting a common, and unusual observation...not really being nit picky. Now with Randall Davis, we get not picky.

I agree. The glass does have a dull, dusty, cataract quality about it. But, it seems that the podium is the only part that has received the glazing so far, if I'm not mistaken. Perhaps the tower will have a different glass or maybe, when completed, it will have some kind of illuminated effect. Im hoping that there is something that we haven't yet seen. Because, so far...lifeless. On a positive note... I am appreciating the architectural contour of the structure and am looking forward to seeing some of the other architectural detailing that seems to be coming.

Larry - You took that picture literally 2 or 3 floors above my office window. Welcome to 6565 West Loop South.

It's not the garage. It'll be mostly Ballroom's and event space.

United is also planning to supplement its fleet with a few dozen used/leased narrow bodied jets that are are not expected to have many of the more updated features of newer equipment. So, don't expect too much continuity in their product for a long while.
