  1. I'd anticipate more Boardwalk/Aquarium then Port Oak. But, I'd also anticipate more Party Bar than Roller Coaster. And, another Tilman hotel would make sense.
  2. I believe that Tilman will, also, develop some surrounding areas and create more of entertainment district around Toyota Center.
  3. I think that that is the design intent, Luminaire. Nail on the head. But, there will inevitably be another tower to the north, facing I-10. Its the only excuse for the disappointment we all feel when we see it.
  4. Do we normally have aerial rescues from the highways during floods?
  5. Uh-ha. I see. It's not really clear where this...um...would be.
  6. Sorry. Couldn't resist. When a building, under construction, reaches it full height, or the last piece of structural steel is set in place, a tree is often put on the hiegest most point to mark the occasion.
  7. Well aware of the great destruction of much/most of Berlin in WWII. The statement, "Berlin has no history, it was destroyed in WWII, then rebuilt to look old." is just laughable to me. History is only created through time. Buildings may be destroyed, but history is not. Berlin's history is amazing. The destruction of the war is just part of it. So, is the restoration and rebuilding of the historic structures. At least the German's care to do it.
  8. It was hoppin' last Friday Night. Am very curious (worried) about the variance request though.
  9. I doubt Randall's is going anywhere anytime soon. It's services a pretty specific niche, which is only expanding. Randall's recently completed a remodel and upgrade of this store. Maybe the Randall's name may go...but a grocery store, of some name, will stay.
  10. Some renders of the new Terminal Concept in this article. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/bizfeed/article/Redeveloping-the-international-terminal-at-IAH-13235269.php?src=hp_totn#photo-16167066
  11. Thanks for filling in the lacking details. That does sound a quite a bit more comprehensive. I do think that keeping the ticketing levels in the central corridor makes the most sense. I think that putting Terminal D on the north side was a mistake and IAH has been struggling with that decision ever since. Terminal D never even seemed as though it was part of the same airport.
  12. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/article/Airport-officials-fly-new-plans-for-international-13228403.php Looks Like the Airport System has ripped up the replacement plan and is now working on a plan that is more focused on renovation and reworking existing terminals. Pity.
  13. https://www.bizjournals.com/houston/news/2018/09/14/texas-central-secures-loan-of-up-to-300m-for.html Great sign of progress.
  14. On the visionary plan, to me, it looks like an elevated Bike/walkway, much like as envisioned on the ease side cap, and not a preserved Pierce Elevated.
  15. Glassell School of Art on Montrose, is a pretty interesting starting point. Menil reopens on Sept 22nd. GO!
  16. I do not think that this is related in anyway. The Circle has been the plan of the Great East End District for years now.
  17. Hallelujah! Great Opportunity to make a Gateway-Statement to the Navigation District. Guadalupe Plaza Park could use a little love too.
  18. Oh. No no. That's ugly and so misporoportioned. However, can't argue with a frontage of retail.
  19. Look at all those booze bottles over the booze bar. Looks like they will be serving booze in Solo cups. ;-) I know that it is just a rendering.
  20. Makes sense...but, then they better serve excellent margaritas and michiladas.
