  3. Location revealed by Reverberation on skyscraperpage That site is located between Wynden and Post Oak Timber just east of S. Post Oak Ln.
  4. It is said in the quote on the edge of Memorial Park but looking at the road layouts you could probably find it. I just realized those are actual models.
  5. May we add West Houston Master Plan by Hines to the List?
  6. Here you go Rendering's were just released a couple of hours ago. It's in the forefront of Urban Design, maybe its because its an AWESOME DESIGN!! http://www.hksinc.com/places/west-houston-master-plan/
  7. The Vision Integrating the man-made with the natural. It’s a challenge to link the two in a way this is not disruptive to existing space and allows for growth and development. The goal should always be to design a natural extension of the environment, developing in a natural way that truly fits with the city and its surroundings. The plan was prepared for Hines Development to provide a vision for a 14-acre site in West Houston. The site has a natural beauty, being part of the edge of Houston’s signature open space, Memorial Park. Developing links with the park is a centerpiece of the design concept, which encompasses approximately 1.8 million square feet of mixed-use development. The Vision includes extending the natural setting of Memorial Park into the site. An organic and natural setting on the edge of the park gradually transitions into more formal settings to integrate the scheme with its various surroundings in the neighborhood context. A curving boulevard and a lineal park are part of the framework around the multiple addresses on which the building program will be sited. The vision includes using the park and the topographical changes of the Buffalo Bayou tributary to make a unique environment for the hotel conference center, a key element of the program. http://i.imgur.com/hiF9Cr3.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ccn6bpu.jpg http://i.imgur.com/t0DoYIJ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/EqLCQOp.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Jju2Ubd.jpg http://i.imgur.com/k1wBzRV.jpg http://i.imgur.com/srMlQpp.jpg http://i.imgur.com/qRG9cmV.jpg
  8. I don't really see anything embarrasing of the word choice.
  9. More Videos of Macy's Implosion. https://vimeo.com/75150246 https://vimeo.com/75148326
  10. I thing the Steel Mesh Panels is what gives it a glamour. There aren't many parking garages in Houston that have designs on them.
  11. I'm surprised some of you guys don't like the parking garage. It's a pretty unique design.
  12. Yea if you keep going back to the older pages, you'll see them too.
  13. The initial plan to me is ok, but the second plan I would agree is a disappointment. The value of the properties in the area are too good for more of Oliver Mcmillan's midrise mix-use buildings, but then again density is density.
  14. Swamplot: http://swamplot.com/a-look-at-plans-for-a-train-centric-development-on-main-st-in-midtown/2013-09-18/ "HERE ARE the first renderings of Mid Main, what appears to be a 2-block, mixed-use development planned to stand along the Red Line inMidtown. And it appears to be an active project, too, though details are still pretty skimpy: Isabelle Moutaud of Rogers Architects, which is partnering with Gensler and Rice prof and architect William T. Cannady on the designs, tells Swamplot that she can’t reveal more than what’s been posted online. (But more is coming in “a couple of months,” she writes in an email.) Still, the text accompanying these renderings online indicates that 70 percent of the development would comprise studio apartments, and the renderings themselves suggest plenty of parking, pocket parks, young people, and ground-floor retail. It appears that the development would go in around theEnsemble/HCC light rail station on the 2 blocks bound by Main, Travis, and Holman, most of which are now surface parking lots. A commenter on HAIF asserts that Berry St., which provides access to those lots, would be abandoned." "The map above shows the area in question. It’s not clear from this, or the renderings, how the buildings might interact with the retail andrestaurants already there on the 3600 block of Main; those appear to be represented by that low gray box in the southeastern corner of the development — though Natachee’s patio and sandbox appear to be replaced, at least in this early version of things."
  15. The Kingwood Parc renderings were conceptual but it ended up being the final plan, the also added a 16 story tower to the Kingwood Parc. With that being said these could be the final renderings for Levey Park.
