Did we ever see a rendering of the backside of this building?
For the side facing Rusk? never.

In that pretty picture the road is in bad shape. This stretch of main between 610 and the bayou is probably the nicest road in Houston currently.

Soon we'll have no crappy motels left on South Main.
This is my favorite of the lot because of the small setback.
8800 and 9430 will be the only ones left.

Westcreek Centre was reportedly canceled. Peloton never closed on the land apparently.
But just south of that site(where the last old westcreek building still stands) is where Gables Westcreek is supposed to be built.

Who kicks people when they are down in life? Homelss people have every legal right to be and go anywhere.
In fact, I prefer homeless people over santimonious, narcissists who move into the city with their suburban mentalities. Speakinof taking and never giving anything back. Make sure to hate and aschew the homeless at church this weekend.

Yeah let's berate them for their addictions rather than debate options for tackling their addictions.
"Their horrible upbringing and subsequent life choices bother me because they talk to me!"
No point in debate. The most effective methods for dealing with addiction and the associated black market are clear and obvious, but the LEO lobbies and prison industrial complex will never let the solutions come to be.

It is so incredibly hard to find parking on the streets now at night, which I would have never thought would be a reality just a few years ago. I went by the the majestic too... is that permanently open now? They had a cool 1920s style car in front on Friday. And the Christian's Tailgate with the giant projector is pretty cool.. that's where I had dinner on Friday. Must say, downtown is absolutely alive right now in the historic district and these new residential projects near there haven't even opened yet!
Truth. This is me looking for a spot near my destination:

Having to eat lunch next to a poop bucket is the real reason these guys get paid well.

Whats up with the painting on the wall?
Looks like it belongs in a "netflix and chill then gives you this look" meme.

So, next door to the new Hanover 12 story going up on Morningside in Rice Village, there's been an impressive concrete building under construction. I walk by it daily and have asked about it but no worker seemed to know anything about it. So, I assumed maybe Hanover was doing a smaller brownstone type rental across the street. However, today I found out what it will be...
Morningside Mansion Flats.
7 stories.
1 level of parking
6 levels of condos
1 condo per floor
There are some rough images to be found at Tourell Ventures. I LOVE this type of infill. Great for the Rice Village area and a welcome addition!
Northwest corner of Morningside and Tangley?

Was it the third tallest at the time of the photo?

With all the great sports blogs out there that offer great insight and knowledgeable content, sports radio has become obsolete for me.
Five minutes of reading The Crawfish Boxes,The Dream Shake, etc. will inform me better than an entire weeks worth of sports radio.

The only thing that frightens me more that Randall Davis "Architecture"...is Tillman Fertita "Architecture".
I'll see your diamond in the sky and raise you three diamonds in the sky.

just expressing my dismay. No need to start an ideological debate in a thread about 4810 n. Braeswood.

crap buildings like this tainting our city is exactly what Oualalou was talking about when suggesting that Houston needs some type of government counter power to ensure decent architecture.
