Grew up in rural Newton County(although all family is from Houston.) Live off Death Valley now.

BUT, what is next IS the question?!

Those balconies with the a/c units on them are going to turn into an absolute mess in the future. Imagine the rust stains coming off the sides of the balconies.
Surely the intelligent people that designed this thing took these scenarios into consideration?
Right?

Naw,
They will just flatten the rubble in the hole, and turn it into an urban parking lot. It will be all the rave. Other property owners may follow suit. They might even coalesce in an area and form a sort of destrict. It will be so cutting edge they will charge an arm and maybe a leg or two for parking there.
What do you mean parking lot?
In the future there are no parking lots.

Gertner's bar didn't create any noise- I never heard it even when walking outside the thing, and they never completed the outdoor portion- the stairway inside is incomplete.
I seem to recall a poster on here complaining about the noise.
Edit: found the thread

I watched a few docs on youtube(just search) a few months back and read the wiki, but don't recall anything about white oak bayou or park.

I thought all his victims were buried at Lake Sam Rayburn, the beach, and his storage unit.

The death blow for Montrose was when the Wetsheimer Street Fest was exiled and canceled.
Now, it's a corpse. A shell of its former.
Still a cool neighborhood though.
Just a little more yuppie than hippie.
More alchie than druggie.
More high class call girl than tranny hooker.

Construction is well underway by now. A crane was constructed this morning and there were at least 8 cement trucks on the site about a week ago.
Also, I think we should move this thread to Going Up especially that it's not actualy in (or near) the Med Center.
oh? been waiting on the crane!

For reference, that pool is over looking the Mission Burrito parking lot, which is just to the left of the wooden fence in the first rendering. And is where my pic in the OP is taken from.
