  18. I saw today that The Parks at Boulder Creek has started moving a lot of earth and excavating for foundations for the midrises planned. This is the lifestyle center for Beltway 8 and Pearland Parkway and it should be Woodlands Town Center/Market Street-like in its scope. The plan calls for: Midrise office towers (8-10 stories) 300 acre park Upscale shopping (Williams-Sonoma, Virgin, Banana Republic, Restoration are a few names that I've heard tossed around) Townhouses Lofts Restaurants a small waterway (i've heard) Discreet parking in garages and backs of property. This is planned for both side
  19. Four mixed-use master-planned communities are coming to Fort Bend, reported by Bisnow. http://www.bisnow.com/commercial-real-estate/houston/is-downtown-a-gateway-market/
  20. I posted this in the 102-story thread, but this is too exciting not to have its own. The only disappointment I might have with it is if it is not downtown. If it is, the sky is the limit for downtown. It will be a paradigm shift for Houstonians opinion of our cbd. From Bisnow: Kurt (whose office is designing 7M SF totaling $1B across property types) proved his prowess as a prognosticator. During last year's event, he predicted mixed-use would grow. (Now we call him every day for the weather and the trifecta winners at the horse track.) He was right, but there's been a shift within that sector
  21. Maybe at some point in time we should create a thread for each of these projects: http://www.bisnow.co...ory.php?p=24377
  22. Trademark Property Co. is negotiating a long-term ground lease on six acres on Westheimer just west of Mid Lane, which is currently home to a Central Ford dealership. Trademark is the Fort Worth-based developer behind the $100 million Market Street project in The Woodlan
  23. I am new-ish to the area - I moved to Pine Mill Ranch in October 2009. I have noticed the signs up for a Mixed Use Retail area right at the corner of Spring Green and Cinco Ranch Blvd for a while now. Well, there has recently been activity there and they are clearing the ground and creating a driveway maybe. Any idea what might be going in there?
  24. (I googled First Colony Mall Expansion, and I got these various results) http://www.chron.com/content/chronicle/ae/...girl/index.html What's up at First Colony? Inquiring minds have been asking about the activity around First Colony Mall in Sugar Land, and I have answers. Sectioned off parking lots and loads of dirt are thanks to an expansion project that will bring four new, nationally known restaurants to the area. When the project is finished, First Colony Mall will have a restaurant plaza, complete with a bayou running through it. The Cheesecake Factory, the first restaurant on the project
  25. Has anybody heard or seen anything about this development. I went to the website www.kings-harbor.com and it looks to be something pretty decent looking. Along the lines of the Sugar Land and Woodlands town square but with Lake Houston as a back drop. That should make it stand out a bit from the others. They should put some harbor so boats could dock at the entrance. That would make it really appealing. I've always wondered why Clear Lake hasn't done anything like this yet. I would figure being so close to the water would make it a worthwhile proposition. Anyway the developer of this K
