    My worry is that this is not the easiest walk from most places in downtown, it doesn't have a lot of trees or other developments super close to it. Still, I think that it is looking like such a draw that it may not matter.

    I thought it was a projection screen for a few pre-pandemic events. It’s been there for a long time.

    Well El Segundo closed in Downtown (replaced already by additional space for High & Dry), so the name is open. If you haven't been to one of these places they are pretty great. Amazing no frills cheese burgers and good tacos. Basic but really good cocktails.

    That's a pretty important one. The Main and Prairie block across from Moonshiner's is probably mine. Bank of Southwest tower is still a pretty major one.

    I have walked by a few times and seen workers going in and out as well as heard saws and drills. DIdn't sound like major work but something is happening for sure.

    So Shay McElroy's appears to be next up with the seating on Main Street. They are going more permanent than Little Dipper and have a full raised 2X4 deck built so far. Also, the long-abandoned 309 Travis spot (between Warren's and the new CRU lounge) has been fully gutted and they are starting up something inside. No clue what yet.

    I hope they are putting new ones in, that is the best part of the building.

    Just walked by and they are gone. For lease sign up and space cleared out. Sucks because they were great and stuck it out through most of the pandemic.

    So the Wortham splits time with the ballet and opera, but I don't know that either of those are sought after enough for a new venue alone at this time (I could be wrong, I don't go so I don't know). I could guess that the Hobby Center or Jones Hall would be the closest to being overprogrammed. I have definitely wanted to go to a number of shows at the Hobby Center that were sold out so maybe a new venue could allow for more seating/extended runs?

    So the new article in the Bizjournal makes it sound like the oval room on the bottom floor is more of a building amenity than a public retail space. Closer to Prelude coffee in 609 Main than a real retail spot. I always thought this was supposed to be part of the building’s contribution to ground floor interaction. I am afraid this will be another spot open 8 - 5.

    My guess is that the next two are Dean's and Notsuoh - they have both been back in their buildings cleaning up recently.

    Two sides of that for me: On one hand, even when I searched online to find more about it, the articles that I found had a HAIF poster as their only source. On the other hand, that poster was Paco Jones who is almost always correct.

    This is the instagram page for Post Houston that puts up updates, renderings, vendor ads, etc. every day. The picture seems to be of the eastern side of the building, under the farm portion of the roof. I haven’t seen what’s going in that portion l.
