It also has such a long way to go that it seems like it may never get there.Movie theaters are banned there. Can you imagine an entire country filled with wealthy people, and no place to see a movie?There was a great piece on BBC not too long ago about how there's a whole generation of Saudi 20-and 30-somethings who don't know what to do with their lives. They're bored, unemployed, and underskilled. They won't work at Starbucks because it's beneath them socially. She was punished for breaking the law (being alone with a man who was not her husband or family). That is against Shea law and she was punished for it. The logic would follow that if she had just stolen something then got raped, should she not be punished for her prior offense simply because she got raped?
