torvald
i realize it isn't old, vintage at best but... is this an indoor or outdoor lamp? at first i thought it was an outdoor lamp until i saw the mountings around the fake candle part. mountings like that could link chandelier type glass beads to other parts of the lamp... or maybe attatch a glass globe that covered the bulbs? what time period and style is it? sevfiv
looks like a stairwell/hallway lamp - and that UL tested sticker seems quite old... also reminds me a little of something from gaslight (if it had a covering)
Mark F. Barnes
I can tell you this:It is a UL 1950, 3rd Edition cerification numberMay not help but there you go

Water could easily get down in the sockets and short it out with the sockets pointing up that way...unless there's some sort of watertight globe that goes over all of them. Just in time for Halloween. Torvald, I believe that by looking at the design, and petina, that the lamp is from the early 19"BLEH !"s. Definately missing the "glass globe" portion. There is a place Heights antique shoppping district, that may have the rest of your lamp. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

TJones
No, No, I actually like your lamp, as soon as you find all the pieces, I beleive you will cherish it even more. I would make it an outside piece though. Unless you are going for the Munster's theme, in your house with the little flickering lights. It would look nice with all the pieces all together. TJones
Go to Home Depot, they have what you are talking about in a small scale for hallways, and they still sell the flicker lights.
sevfiv
i think it would look odd with home depot stuff on it it may benefit from a same-era covering, but it has alot of character as-is

I recommended the place in The Heights, where all the other little shops and the Deli are located, to find the rest of his lamp pieces.
nmainguy
Take it to Adkins Architectural @ 3515 Fannin. They may be able to tell you about it. The 3 holes may have been to hold a ring which in turn held a globe. It looks very early 20th century to me.
