sevfiv Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 what a crock but a pretty good stab at advertising Quote
KimberlySayWhat Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 That sounds suspiciously jive, but I'll take a look anyway. Houston never ranks at the top of the list of anything positive. Quote
The Great Hizzy! Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 The list really is talking about cleaning services be it products or agents who do the actual cleaning so maybe there's more truth to it than we might realize. On just general cleanliness, my experiences show my that Seattle, Denver, San Diego (off the top of my head) are noticeably cleaner as far as cities over 500K are concerned. That said, you'd be amazed by how trashy a lot of cities are. While I doubt Houston is among the five or even ten cleanest cities over 500,000, it certainly isn't among the ten or twenty dirtiest. WesternGulf Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 (edited) Good for Houston but this obviously kind of dumb. I wonder why the four largest cities in the country ranked as the top four as the most cleaning vendors according to the yellow pages? Edited May 23, 2006 by WesternGulf Quote
RedScare Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Well, if they can rank us Fattest based on how many fast food listing are in the phone book, I suppose they can use the same criteria for Cleanest. Seems to me that if you combine fast food listings and cleaning services listings, you might also come up with "Laziest". Quote
Subdude Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 I'm thinking we need another topic category for "Strange City Rankings". Maybe Houston is so clean because people stay home cleaning instead of trying to learn their way around, which is why it is the hardest city to navigate. Or whatever. Quote

KimberlySayWhat Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 TJones:I know I'm doing my part ! Yeah? I'd think bacon grease would keep a person pretty regular, but not exactly in a good way. But then if you're regular, I suppose that's all that matters. Quote
Trae Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 (edited) Man, you gotta be f****ed up. Houston, the cleanest. Edited May 24, 2006 by Trae Quote

editor Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 If the ranking is based on a large number of cleaning services, wouldn't that indicate that Houston is dirtier than other cities, so it needs more services? Quote
