To be clear, the permits associated with 1309 Enid St have nothing to do with D & T Drive Inn. 1309 Enid St is for a new dining establishment that is not affiliated with D & T Drive Inn.

A Craigslist listing was created for 1309 Enid St last month. Apparently, the property owner is seeking a food and beverage operator.


Below are details from the listing:

Really convenient that they can share the parking with D&T. Love that they can turn this house into a neighborhood restaurant, especially since it's right down the street from the new apartment complex too and with the modal filter to help people walking across Cavalcade.

Great news for the neighborhood. I lived 2 or 3 blocks from here for about 2 years. I'm hoping for many more positive changes in the neighborhood. I think the biggest sign will be when those apartments and that ugly shopping center change hands and get redeveloped. That section of the Northside bounded by 610, W Cavalcade, and Airline is a strange mess but it's coming together.

Based on recent occupancy permits, it seems Cielito Cafe is leasing the 1309 Enid St property. The following permits were purchased yesterday:
 

  • 1 story occupancy inspection permit
  • Certificate of occupancy permit



Details from the permits:

  • Use: NC / OCC / 1,190 sf restaurant 1-1-5-B-B '12 IBC/21067614
  • FCC Group: Non-residential alteration



Cielito Cafe is a local Mexican restaurant in Montrose. The eatery is located at 1915 Dunlavy St.
