Austin, you can see the state capitol building from all over campus, along with the iconic U.T. tower. The University of Texas in Austin is a massive campus with a student population of about 50,000. Student housing and parking are major issues. We visited several dorms there and those photos will be posted soon.
urbanize713
The project broke ground this week. Several buildings will be built in phases. It will be crazy how dramatic this area will look in a couple of years. Proud that a new medical school at a top tier university in years is being built in Texas. arche_757
^UT has a medical school: UTMB Sealy Smith Foundation bankrolls much of its existence (and owns the land/buildings etc). This is Austin's way of trying to get ride of the Galveston school through attrition. Rice, UH or A&M should look to aquire it in the years to come. arche_757
Yes, but UTMB was/is the "medical" school of the University of Texas. It was the first. Any way... good to see new school construction in Texas regardless.
urbanize713
My point was literal as to say that it actually is at UT. However, I digress and agree with the above points. Heck half of the Texas Medical Center has affiliation to UT thru MD Anderson when you look at it that way. Anyway, like arche said, good to see new school construction in Texas regardless.
