Could TMC Development Ever Spill Into Rice University?

Looking on satellite, where is the next area TMC will expand? Rice owns property directly across from the TMC.  Would the two ever come to an agreement?

People would revolt if they gave up part of Hermann park away and no way in hell Rice is giving up any land, they need more land not less. Rice owns Rice Village and they could take over some of that if they needed to expand westward. TMC has tons of room south and east.

This is true but TMC and Rice have worked together with the Bioscience Research Collaborative. It is on the southwest corner of the intersection of Main Street and University Boulevard. Yes, Rice does own the land.

Yeah I was thinking about the BRC--as Specwriter pointed out--because something like that is the obvious answer to the question. 

But if the question is will TMC as an entity displace Rice U--I mean, I don't think so, how would that work? They've got two downtowns of Denver in parking lots to the south.

It's more likely TMC will take over Alvin Community College. 😃 Seriously, I believe there is still room for TMC to grow south as mentioned earlier.
