sapo2367
I feel like Washington Ave has such potential to be a nice bike/transit corridor, especially with all the density that is coming up lately.
skooljunkie
The dang road needs a diet along most of the long stretches. Throw in traffic control, wider sidewalks, trees, etc. and it would be an economic boom to the area.
zaphod
So they are going to paint part of the street green and not much else then? Still see above ground power lines and skinny sidewalks.
Texasota
It looks they want to do Washington at least in 2 phases. They can add protected bike lanes, nicer bus stops, curb bulb-outs, etc relatively quickly. Expanding the sidewalks along the whole street would require a complete rebuild of the street and take quite a bit of time and money. I would rather see them do something better than what's there now sooner and plan to upgrade it in the future than wait who knows how long for a full rebuild.
