citykid09
http://home.businesswire.com/portal/site/g...508&newsLang=enI hope Matthew Knowles can help Houston become a music Capital, like Houston rappers are helping do.
RedScare
I'm curious. Why would you name a R&B group after a street in Katy? Am I missing something?
Jeebus
I'm curious. Why would you name a R&B group after a street in Katy? Am I missing something? Its catchy, and it works. Most people from Houston will be excited if they make it big. They'll try and tie themselves to the band like: "Oh, you know that group Mason Road? Well I shop at the Kroger on Mason all the time."I think its stupid, but then again I think talent searches are waste of time. Maybe a rockband will form and call themselves Buffalo Speedway, or perhaps Pierce Elevated.

As long as Tina Knowles isn't their costume designer, I don't care what they call themselves
Talbot
The name with Mason Road confused me, seems like an odd name for a band, I almost thought maybe some sort of club was opening on Mason.Good luck to them though.

TJones
I guess it's better than Fry Rd.! Could've been called The Fry Guys, and McDonalds could sponsor them as well.
DJ V Lawrence
I'm curious. Why would you name a R&B group after a street in Katy? Am I missing something? It's great for showing off a city or town. Think of the band Linkin Park, or that one street that John Lennon sung about, or think about how the nickname H-Town became famous in the first place (an R&B group called H-Town in the early '90s). I DO hope they make it big, and I wish the best for all of Houston's genres of music and their talents
KimberlySayWhat
think about how the nickname H-Town became famous in the first place (an R&B group called H-Town in the early '90s). Really? I didn't know that. Did they have a memorable one-hit-wonder? Edited December 6, 2005 by KimberlySayWhat

Sorry, DJ. Try CB radio slang from the '70s.
